Similar to the comments below, I was pretty peeved to find out that Love Supreme is now licenced after the bill had arrived! We've been coming here, on and off, since it first opened and am used to it being BYO. Fair enough, they're licenced now and I've certainly no problem with that at all but where were our wine lists? Where was the opening of our bottle? When were we told that they were now licenced?! Nada.
After a rather mediocre pizza which was not up to their usual standards we asked for the bill and received one for another table. $245 was a little steep for 2 pizzas and a shared entree. When our bill arrived we were charged $20 corkage. Naturally were a little surprised and also annoyed when told it is $10 corkage per bottle and we had only had the one bottle but they'd charged us for two?! Finally, the correct bill was given to us and we left feeling simply miffed.
As I said before, fair enough to become licenced but tell people that when they sit down and offer a wine list! Not good enough.
As a once loyal and frequent customer, I was disappointed to find out that Love Supreme has now become licensed. We walked in with our own bottle of wine, as we have been doing for some time, only to be told that the corkage would cost us $10! (No ice bucket and we opened/poured our own wine). We even put up with the lousy service before, but will not be returning anytime soon. I suggest you try somewhere else in Surry Hills. Love Supreme, you should be ashamed!
I should start with a disclaimer: I went to Love Supreme wanting to have a good time and I did. Had I not been in such a good mood I would probably have rated the experience differently. I'll outline the main points I noted. I was surprised by how tightly they have squashed in the tables, but if that helps people only have to wait 10 minutes on a Saturday night I guess I can live with it. They were "sold out" of bread, so no bruschetta starter.
Great salad, great pizza though. The table on my left got charged for something they ordered but never received. The table on my right were used to it being BYO and got slapped with the $10 corkage. We received their bill (about half the price of ours). The bathrooms looked like a hungry little labrador puppy had been in there eating toilet paper but I guess that says more about the patrons than the restaurant.
I did tell them on the way out so hopefully they cleaned it up. Overall I enjoyed the atmosphere and the warmth on a chilly winter's night. I'd go back with people who are relaxed about a hit and miss dining experience but not with people who are keeping a strict scorecard.
Don't order from here. I waited for 2 hours for a take away pizza to arrive. Then called and promised it would be 30 minutes, two hours later, still no pizza. So total time 4 hours no pizza. Don't order from here.
Delicious pizza at the restaurant, disappointing service and quality for take away. One pizza takes an hour and a half to arrive and is cold and rubbery. A real shame and big disappointment.
This place excels at slow cooked meats whether it is in a pasta or as part of a salad. The servings are quite substantial and personally I would prefer a smaller serving and to be charged less. The food is overall of a good standard. The service is superb. Very attentive without being overbearing.
In a single word, this place is disastrous! On friday night I ordered a large takeaway pizza with extra toppings only to get home and find out after waiting more than twenty five minutes that they had given me the wrong pizza! The pizza I had ordered was nothing close to what I ordered, what a waste! I phoned back on two separate days and was hung up on!
I went to Love Supreme on sunday afternoon and the only two staff there spoke no english and couldn't understand what I was saying. Eventually I did get to see the manager when I personally went in to complain on friday, one week later. After all my frustration I was told that no-one recongized me and all they could do for me was to offer a few lettuce leaves in a plastic tray (I think this was meant to be a salad) as consolation.
My original pizza had cost just under $30 and I'd wasted more money and time bringing this to their attention. That just doesn't seem fair when someone else has made a mistake. If this is how a restuauant handles a complaint then avoid it like the plague! The two pizzas I had prior to this experience were only above average anyway. I ordered here because it is close to my house but I will definitely be going somewhere else for pizza next time, regardless of how long it takes!
One of the better pizza places in Paddington. Very lively atmosphere, can be noisy at times. Service can be a gamble, we had either excellent service or no service at all. The food was always good. BYO
Yeah, good solid place. Great pizza and pasta. Had a wicked desert there tonight too. The service was a bit "to-cool-for-school". Gone are the days of hospo staff with hospitality skills. Still, would go again for sure.
Probably will never go again. The best feature would have to be the physical surroundings since the food is average and the value for money poor. Service is either erratic or non existent. Gets a little bit noisy as well. In terms of pizza, acceptable but not mind blowing, there are definitely better places here in Sydney. I doubt I will make an effort to go again.
