Have tried this place twice as others rave about it. My experience has always been awful and rude service and less than mediocre food, prepared and served in a rushed and scrappy way. I even tried to order take away one time and they said "we're not open yet" and hung up in my ear. Total disappointment, I recommend stay away!
Have heard so much about this place but was a little disappointed to be honest. Pizza seemed to be a little over cooked and was dry (not enough tomato sauce) and as stiff as a board. Toppings were good, however, what really makes a traditional pizza is the base. After reading other comments it seems that these guys can be a bit inconsistent. I have friends that swear by this place and others that have only tried it once and won’t go back. I think I’ll give it another try and hopefully catch them on a good night.
Pizzas are delicious. Entree servings were on the smaller side. On the pricey side. Atmosphere is quite nice. They didn't allow booking when we ate so this was disappointing especially when you have a bigger group. The staff were nice but service went down, I guess when it got busy. Kids were welcomed. Able to park on the street after a certain time in the evening. Will go again but not rushing.
Have always been a fan of Arthurs and have enjoyed Love Supreme Pizzas, however, recently got a home delivery which was so poor, not cut properly, toppings thrown on, and no offer of compensation when I complained. Absolutely no 'Love' in the whole experience. So disappointing as these guys had it right for so long, let's hope it's a one off.
Living in Paddington this is by far my favourite pizza restaurant. Yes, the tables are too close together, yes it can get a bit noisy but I prefer to think of it as lively and yes quite frankly the service can be stuck up and slow (although I have had a couple of great waitresses), but overall, this is a fab pizza restaurant. The food is great and definitely some of the best pizza I've eaten. Would agree with the sauna comment, I do avoid the place on a hot day.
Food was delicious and I thought the service was fantastic. Miles I think his name was, was everything a waiter should be, courteous, hilarious and professional. We ordered some pizzas and everything popped in our mouths it was so good!Ambience was great. Loud and social, it looked like everyone was having a good time. So to all the fuddy duddies complaining about how loud it was, go to a boring restaurant and eat your boring food. Definitely will be back in the near future.
Ps. Ask for Miles!
You could walk straight past this restaurant opposite Victoria Barracks but I'm glad I didn't! After a day of retail therapy, we could really have used some Emotional Pizza, and Love Supreme delivered in every department. The Yabasta is to die for, and the tiramisu is divine. Although it was a little busy, the service was informal yet attentive. I will definitely be going back!
Overrated for a pizza and pasta restaurant. Overpriced - Pizza is $33. Dessert is $27. Only in Sydney! Service is terrible. Do they actually hire professionals or backpackers? Charge $10 corkage and then provide no wine glasses or service. Cramped and hot in summer! Won't be going back there!
