My husband and I eat out a lot and all over the world and we were blown away by Lotus. The pre-dinner drinks were spectacular and the bar staff were great fun. The meals were delicious - the crab salad, the venison and the cheeseburger were the highlights - oh and the chocolate chip cookie was to die for. Great staff, great location. We'll be back.

After trying out a few of Dan hong's ventures and being pleasantly surprised, I decided to come to Lotus. As we came in quite early, they had a sunset menu that runs from 6pm til 7pm and includes a 3 course meal for $39 which was definitly value for money. The servings mind you arent huge, but by the end of it i came out surprisingly full. Cocktails are great too. Had the cheeseburgery, which was juicy and moreish. Their prawn cocktails was deliciously crispy, and the venison tartare was tasty and probably my favorite of the night. The mulloway fish had a beautifully light butter sauce, and finally the desserts reminded me of being a child, with their giant cookie and crackling honeycomb. Cost can be expensive if you go for the regular menu, so make sure to try this one.

Went with a group of 8 and had the $60pp banquet. It was Fantastic! Every dish was delicious, and great value for this quality of food. Well done, service was great too. The bar was so inviting for pre dinner drinks intimate and not crowded. Will definitely be back.

My partner and I were going to other restaurant, passing by Lotus, saw "sunset special" and thought of trying out. We weren't expecting much because of the price, two courses for $30 and 3 courses for $39. But the food turns out to be superb!

The entrees, fried prawn and venison tartare are something we would go back for. The service is the best of all restaurants we've been to! Very attentive! We've been to other 3 hats restaurants and this is by far the best! The waiter and the waitress knows their menu very well. The other thing is that I was raving about the food on the way back, I left my phone at the restaurant and they called my partner and returned it! Thank you Lotus crew!

Although we heard lots of good review on this restaurant, but we didn't have much expectation. But it turned out to be 1 of recommended restaurant in our list. The cocktails were so nice and refreshing, worth paying $18 as it is so yummy! Overall, nice food, nice drinks and good service. Value wise is not so bad either, although drinks can be a little pricey. Final verdict, recommended!

Went with friends last Saturday. Got a table booking for 9 pm and went early to have cocktails in the bar. Service was wonderful and attentive being found a table in the crowded bar to sip cocktails served, not queued for. As per previous reviewers, the food was delicious, if a little small for the price. Overall with cocktails and wine, ended up being an expensive, but enjoyable evening.

Went there last Friday following the deal offer, any 2 dishes for $40. There were 4 of us, we opted for 5 mains and 3 desserts. All the dishes were quite tasty and well presented but the size of the portions was inadequate. The staff was very helpful but that didn't help to satisfy my hunger, even after dish # 4. In the end it cost us the same amount of money had we have a regular meal at the restaurant of similar calibre.

Fantastic food, Dan Hong's flavours are all there and the new style of sharing menu offers great selection and value for money. The room is loud amid the hustle and bustle but if you go early in the week chose to eat in the bar area if they permit you. That turns lotus into a great place for dinner and cocktails with a special someone.

I went here for a light dinner on a Friday night. Perhaps we were early but I was surprised that there were not more customers inside.

We opted for mains and dessert. I was impressed with the potency of the delicate flavours in what I thought would be a subtle dish - fish of the day with silken tofu, mushrooms, kim chi consommé - but even more wonderful was the dessert. Absolutely loved the passionfruit custard with chocolate meringue and yoghurt sorbet. Brilliantly balanced in terms of texture and taste.

My friend was not as excited about his main - crispy duck parcel, spiced beetroot purée, orange jus. I agreed that the duck parcel pastry wasn't the best but the beetroot purée was deliciously sweet and complemented the duck. The winner was dessert: warm choc chip cookie, vanilla ice cream, raspberry, butterscotch - as divine as it sounds!

Great food and service once again. Cocktails are amazing and the food is sooo tasty, some plates are a little small for the price tag but its Potts Point. Be back soon.
