Love the food, Love those boys! This place rocks and they treat mum (who visits from the UK every year) like the grand old duchess she is, she won't let me eat anywhere else and the only reason I do is because my diet (not my taste buds), won't let me go every night. Treat yourself, go see the boys.

Gee, what a find, when you feel like a home cooked meal on a cold winters night when you couldn't be bothered doing it yourself. This is the place to visit, baners and mash, roast chickens, baked veg and steamed stuff to for the healthy folks, on sundays they do a sunday roast of all the meats you could think of, just delicious and nicely priced.

Lizzy Bay Gourmet is a cafe that services locals and welcomes blow-in. Sadly, I am part of the latter, as the desire to purchase in Syd drove me out of this beautiful enclave and into the depths of Waterloo. No matter; every Sunday night after a cheap game of tennis at Rushcutter's park, I get to experience Sunday bangers 'n mash for less than $10 at this fantastic local noshery provided by 2 gorgeous boys and 1 beautiful woman who always make myself and my party of up to 5 feel like family. How many other places who know that you like to eat outside will go to the effort of going next door, negotiate with the general store and literally "make" a table in front your eyes in less than 5 mins? We arrive sweaty and disgusting every week, and we are always treated like we are Zegna-clad and ready for a night at the opera. These kids are genuinely beautiful, lots of fun and always ready with a quick quip, and they do food very well, service even better. It's no surprise that you will see squillions of enlightened kids of all ages storming in and out all afternoon for a version of the sunday roast that is better executed than you could ever possibly do yourself. Always giving a giggle and a smile, this trio are divine and have a special place in our hearts. We get a bit upset (and guilty) when on hols - we don't want them to think our sunday nights will be given over to someone else - they won't! Take a dessert away - you will certainly want to :)
