I have been going to this restaurant at least once a fortnight for the past two years, and I am yet to be disappointed. The food is delicious and while it is somewhat pricey it is worth it. The service is lively and the waitstaff know me and always welcome me and my mother when we eat there. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a new place to eat.

After buying vouchers through Cudo and seeing the reviews on this page, we entered the venue with a lot of trepidation expecting the worst. As soon as we walked in we were pleasantly surprised the staff were friendly, efficient and entertaining paying special attention to our two young children.
The food is value for money and the venue although old was clean. The place was busy and looking around at the tables everyone looked to be enjoying themselves. Yes the props are cheap and cheesy but that's the fun of it. My only criticism is that the venue has the potential to be a really scary theatre restaurant if it had more fun playing on the scary theme (think of Draculas in Melbourne and QLD).
Overall a good family night enjoyed by all. My advice don't listen to what people have written you need to experience it yourself.

I have had delivery from this restaurant several times and I have to say the food is remarkably good. It arrives pretty quickly, it is always hot and fresh. The prices are a little high but definitely worth it. Will have to eat in next time but I would definitely give them a huge thumbs up for excellent food.

Sad to say this is the worse place I have ever eaten, the food was disgusting.
This place has potential, but will fail if its continues to run like this.

The most disgusting food I have ever eaten. Pretty sure the dessert was from coles or wollies, still nice but you don't expect to eat that at a restaurant
The service was great.

We went to the Saturday show. Nobody told us it was a R rated sex show. With constant swearing, very loud noise, squashed in 200 people (as they reminded us) and flashing lights. Then the show was nothing but insulting people as the "cast" showed how they could grind against each other with constant same sex comments.
Dinner was smorgasbord, fair enough but the food was salad and only being allowed one sliver of overcooked meat or one chicken niblet. - monster steak house huh? The dessert was a choice of a banana or chocolate slice, thats it!
We didn't buy the "all you can drink offer" so we were ignored for most of the night our table was only cleared after several complaints.
The constant attempt to get the audience to buy their souvenirs/pics and light up glass drinks was really only a selling tool, it felt like they kept wanting us to have pics done so they can sell them at huge prices us. Not a pleasant experience for anyone in the party ranging from 16years to 82years and in between.

The restaurant wasn't at all busy and one group I'm sure was family apart from them there was only another 10 patrons and we were a table of 9. It took 90 minutes from the time we ordered till when our meals arrived. When it did arrive some were cold and one meal came a good 20 minutes after the rest, that one was the worst of all. Even settling the bill was a major drama. It was Mothers Day and it ruined mine, never again!

We had a party of four visit with a voucher. I must say I feel for the people that work there. Its very poorly managed and the staff, as nice as they are, lack basic customer service etiquette and menu knowledge. When we were seated the very first thing our waitress said to us was "oh someone doesn't know how to set a table and quickly fiddled with the table setting before seating us, after which she announced I'll be back in a minute, just have to go do something!?"
I would have to agree with one of the other reviews take on the ambience, we were sitting on tables set up on what used to be the karaoke bar when it was Gardenia Court, simply no thought, effort or $$ have been put into their own concept and things seemed to have just been dumped around the joint. The place was simply empty, and I fear if they don't sit up and listen to feedback, they will find themselves shut down in the very near future.
Food was not good, my ribs weren't too bad, however, there was a 45 minute wait between entree and mains by which time we weren't hungry anymore, my friend had the chicken schnitzel which was full of oil and simply couldn't be eaten. The dessert, frozen bavarian, we ordered the $39 slushy in a fishbowl and couldn't finish it as we had only had it for 10 minutes when they started to hurriedly clear the two or three tables that people had been at, making a clear indication that our night was over.
I wish the best to them, and hope they put some time and effort into a better business plan before it is too late, but I cannot recommend this place.

Absolutely delicious pizza, I recommend the seafood one it's amazing. Friendly staff and great ambience. Loved the jazz music they played. Not a great variety of wine but overall lovely experience. I would rate it the best Italian pizza in the area. Loved it loved it loved it. Will definitely go back there again.

Walked in there on a Friday night to beat the commotion of finding a decent place to eat and the selection was great. Service was good, ambience was comfortable (though I would have loved classical Jazz than mainstream jazz) but I was more impressed with the wood fired pizza. I rate it as one of the best in the area. Its a must Try.

The venue is decorated with intersting props that on closer inspection are very slap-dash. A stark contrast from its grubby and delapidated restrooms. Service wise, they showed inconsistency; some waiting staff were friendly, but our waiter (for the most part) seemed overly sales driven to the point of arrogance.
The food was disgusting. I ordered bruscetta, but have never encountered this on one inch-thick slices of untoasted bread; tomatoe was fizzy. My friend ordered BBQ chicken wings, half of which were cold indicating that a microwave had been used.
Next for ribs. Agai drenched in the very same BBQ sauce that we had on the wings previously. Not one of us could be bothered to finish our mains. The accompanying salad consisted of ice-berg lettuce, onion, cucumber and tomatoe... don't worry though, you will get a choice of dressing!
Next for desert, which, if we were not mistaken was frozen sara-lea bavarian.
Overall quiet unsatisfying and a waste of money. At least our company of dinner companions was enjoyable.

We went to this restaurant around 5-6 pm on April the first on my sister’s birthday, it was cold, raining and windy outside, and we had a reservation 2 weeks in advance which they claimed there was none but we were fine seeing as the restaurant was nearly empty.
When we first entered the restaurant was nearly empty at the time and we were seated in front of the door. The waiter came to us as soon as we sat down without giving us a chance to look over the menu and demanded what we wanted to drink, basically without no knowledge of the drinks available it turned into a guessing game as he was vague about what was available, we took this in good part and ignored the lack of service.
Then as people came in the wind would blow in making my sisters cold and uncomfortable seeing as we were seating directly in front of the door, so we asked one of the two waiters, who originally seated us, if we could move to another table because it was cold and he gladly agreed.
This is where it all started to go sour, when we moved tables the other waiter who gave us our menu’s realized we had moved tables and reacted offensively by glaring rudely and angrily at us multiple times and then aggressively grabbed and threw the wine menu that was left on the table back onto the stack while continuously glaring our way, he continued in this manner by throwing cutlery they had placed on the table we originally sat at back onto the pile.
When he finally approached to take our order and we informed him that we had asked the other waiter before if we could move and were given permission and that we saw his rude mannerism and glaring, he was unapologetic and just wanted us to order to get it over and done with. At this point we just paid for our untouched drinks and left bringing a disappointing end to my sister’s birthday.
Since we weren’t able to try the food due to the rude service we cannot comment on the food. The place looked nice, cosy and welcoming in décor (but not service). I would recommend taking your money elsewhere, as I would rather spend my money somewhere with better service.

We dined here last nite for the first time and without a doubt we will never dine here again.
We arrived just after 6:00pm and was seated promptly. Shortly thereafter the waiter took our order and drinks were served quite quickly.
We ordered bruschetta for entree and it arrived approx 10 minutes after ordering, which was great. Shortly thereafter our mains arrived, we ordered spaghetti marinara and it was pleasant but I have never had this dish with so much chilli in it before. Then the service went from average to really bad. We tried for over half hour to get a waiters attention to order another glass of wine a bottle of water.
The waiters do not make any eye contact with the guests so it was frustrating trying to get their attention. Finally we called the male waiter and asked for a bottle of water and wine and approx 5 minutes later the glass of wine was brought to our table but no water. We waited another 10 minutes to see if they brought out the water but nothing, so again we tried to get the wait staff attention to ask for water.
By this time my husband started getting frustrated because he noticed the senior staff of the restaurant talking quite abruptly to his staff in front of the guests and they seemed more interested in the larger group of guests outside than their smaller groups (couples) dining inside.
Finally, we got the waiters attention and asked for our bottle of water a second time. It was brought to our table quickly but no apology for forgetting to bring it originally.
Then they offered us the dessert menu and said they would come back to take our order. Twenty Five minutes passed and finally they came back. During this time we noticed other guests getting their main meals in a take away container and leaving and to be honest I don't blame them.
For dessert my husband ordered affogato and I ordered the vanilla custard tart with banana and caramel sauce. It took almost another half hour before the desserts were served and we were shocked at what was put in front of us. My husband had one scoop of ice cream in a glass and a shot of liqueur and nothing else, the main part of the affogato is the coffee and it wasn't even served.
I was served a pastry tart base filled with liquid chocolate and slices of banana on top with a side scoop of ice cream. Where was the vanilla custard inside the tart and the caramel sauce as per the menu? When questioned about the affogato we were swiftly brought the shot of coffee but that was all. The waitress apologised for the wait time for my tart and said it was divine and I would absolutely love it. I probably would have it I got served what I ordered.
In the end I left the dessert (as it was aweful) and we left this restaurant. We will never ever dine here again and I strongly recommend anyone wanting perfect service and food to go elsewhere as you won't get it here.

I wish it had have been advertised correctly when I purchased my voucher deal for the 'Monster Steak House'... if I had known it was the old Frite-Nite Theatre I wouldn't have gone... had trouble finding the place and it turns out to be an old Chinese restaurant in L/Pool... on arrival we were 'greeted' in the car park by a staff member with a megaphone blaring to half of Liverpool - asking us if we were his 8.00 pm party of two! After this initial 'shock' we entered the dark/dingy premises to find that we were the only two patrons there - I am glad(?) we booked! (we were assured though that the 'crowd' would be in later which turned out to be a young family of four and four blokes which looked like the local Mafia). We were then duly bored to death by the staff member as he joined us at our table displaying an assortment of 'flashing' glasses for a drink deal which we duly declined.
We were also given a spiel about the Frite Nite show and cast in great graphic detail!!! by the end of this I thought I knew them better than they did themselves! Meals: My meal was ok and ample being ribs however I was expecting to be able to order a steak as per the voucher ad as it is supposed to be a steakhouse - only to find that the only 'steak' mentioned refers to steak fries (chips) and very carefully worded on their behalf in the deal! My partner had the chicken which was virtually inedible so she had to settle for the ample side salad included after the meal and dessert, which was not too bad, I then foolishly opted for a coffee and our 'friend' said I will just turn the urn on! Whereas I was expecting something along the lines of a 'flat white' - not an instant coffee... didn't wait long enough for that though as we could not wait to get out of the place. Never again!

$2 surcharge per person on a normal Sunday. What a rip off. Cashier couldn't even find where it said there was a surcharge. Had to get someone else to find it on the menu.
The surcharge was written on the back of the menu with the opening hours. Who looks at the opening hours when they are in the restaurant? My Pizza was small and it was burnt at the bottom and hard and dry. Over $33 for a small burnt pizza and fries and a soda, oh yeah and surcharge. What a rip off. Will never go again even though they are 2 blocks away from my house. Hogs breath is so much better.

I bought a breakfast coupon and was there on a Saturday morning. Waitress was very accommodating as I tried to book for 10am, apparently they already had a booking at this time and requested that I come at 11am, I hadn't had breakfast yet so asked if I could come at 9:30am which she allowed. When I got there, the cafe smelt of old of cooking oil. I ordered the big breakfast and it came out after more than half hour wait, service was very slow even though there was only 2 other tables occupied.
The bacon and sausage looked and tasted old like it was cooked the day before, the poached egg was weird and a bit sour tasting, I could have done a better job making this dish at home. If you intend on coming to this place, don't order the big breakfast!

Decide to go here since I noticed it was full when driving past the day before. Service times was really great, the wait between meals was reasonable and we weren't kept wondering as to where our was. Staff were friendly and accommodating, I had to ask for a steak knife though. My wife and I were both happy with our meals. The food is a bit expensive, but definitely worth it. We will return to try the rest of the menu.

I so agree with you Sinua, I have recently just bought chicken fried rice and I could hardly find any meat all I could see was rice and vegetable, I am not gonna lie but the fried rice did taste nice. And just few weeks before that I had Masala tea and samosa expecting it to be those home made samosa we used to get back in out country. But no they were cocktail samosa that come in pre-packed in indian shops which I myself could have made it at home. LOL
I would love to go back but only if the food quality will improve and for a change if they start putting little bit extra meat on their dishes so it feels like we are eating meat not vegetables.
