This place has, hands down, the best pad thai I have ever tasted, and I've been to a lot of pad thai places. In some restaurants you'll get this oily red concoction, which tastes familiar in a way that's not off-putting until you realise its tomato sauce- once you taste the tamarind in this one, you'll never go back. It makes the thai place across the way's pad thai taste like fast food. I've sampled the laksa, the pad siew, and the curries as well, and none has failed to impress.

Ambience is decent - inside it's a little tacky (it's a tiny space- I think it fits around 6 inside), with a light colour scheme and a giant tv hooked up awkwardly on one side. Outside is better, on cheap chairs under those tall gas heaters (I'd rate it higher but the ground has a distinct slant underneath it =P)

Service is pretty good. The waiter unfailingly brings out water and a bottle. It's a small place, so it's easy to catch someone's eye. Value is great. The best pad thai I've ever tasted comes in at $10.90, and from memory nothing is above $20.

In summary, great. I've dragged uni friends to have the pad thai here. In five years my sights might be a little higher, but right now I can't really argue to good food at low prices.

I love the food at little Thai, the King prawn Pad See ew is one of the best ive had. When they are busy it may take a while but always worth the wait. Friendly staff as well.

We were hooked in with the promise of a cheap lunch special that wasn't cheap in the end$. I think it's awful that Artarmon is getting so crowded with Thai restaurants and setting up right opposite one of the older one seems pretty clear they want to destroy them. The food was fine, but won't be coming back - only went over there because Thai Charm was closed.

Good takeaway place, and not bad to eat in as well. The food are the better taste among other Thai places in Artarmon. We have tried the fried rice, pad thai, yummy beef, rice noodle.
