I find this place really mediocre. The food is ordinary, service boardering on rude and has all the ambience of sitting in a car-park (which by the way, you are)! Try somewhere else if you're in North Rocks.
Have been a regular here since original opening, great food, service and coffee always good, you get what you pay for! Management and staff always a pleasure to deal with.
Quality and variety of food is exceptional. The management really do take pride to provide an enjoyable experience. Sometimes the waitresses get a bit unorganised when busy but they are always friendly.
But the service of some of the waitresses is terrible. Some are friendly, but a few waitresses are really rude. Came here for breakfast one day, and one of the sandwiches had a hair in it as soon as she put it down. We told her straight away and she replied "that actually looks like a black hair", hence saying it was our hair that fell into the sandwich somehow!
We were shocked by this, but she almost seemed hesitant in replacing it. Instead she reiterated that it was a black hair. She finally agreed to replace it grudgingly, and refused to serve us after that. In addition, the replacement seemed cold and almost seemed like it was just left out in the kitchen and given to us 5 minutes later to make it seem like it was freshly cooked!
Not happy at all. Terrible service by the waitress.
We attend on Sunday mornings for breakfast, it is the best place in North Rocks for breakfast, the servings are good and they attend to you straight away. Worth every cent.
Had lunch with friends today and the salt and pepper calamari was delicious, however, they could improve on the salad (just rocket and 3 cherry tomatoes cut in half). Although not very busy during the school holidays, we needed to ask for water (twice).
It was a great sunny morning! I mainly wanted to catch up with the head chef but from the moment I walked in he was run! of his feet! That's a good thing though. The food was really nice and filling! Thanks heaps! Was even upsetting to walk away from my friend who I hadn't spoken to in years! Will decently visit again!
Was a lovely sunday morning at north rocks. Sun was shining and service was excellent. They have tables spread far down the promenade but they still attend to them all. They turned the heater on for us just cause it was a little bit chilly. I ordered bacon and eggs with hash brown and a hot chocolate. My order came still steaming from the grill. They even made sure that I got brown bread instead of white and my bacon was crispy the way I had requested.
I've spent the last two weeks at a course nearby and have eaten breakfast and lunch here every day, 14 meals. Everything has been wonderful and I love their specials menu (the apple fritters with raisin honey ricotta was fantastic, as was the smoked salmon frittata). The breakfasts were delicious (I've rarely had poached eggs cooked so perfectly).
The service was great, the young waitress from Estonia knew my coffee order within a day and would watch out for me when I wanted a second one. She was one of the friendliest and most efficient waitresses I've ever seen. The menu is lengthy, with everything from sandwiches to beautiful main meals and great seafood dishes. I live far away from here which is a shame as I would otherwise go more often, and I look forward to doing more courses nearby.
This is shopping centre cafe food at best, certainly not a restaurant you'd want to linger over a meal at. The caesar salad is slopped with something akin to Praise dressing and the service is school girl 'working for pocket money' in its style. An okay place for a mid shopping coffee stop but not much more.
