My bad experience is based on a hair in my food and the poor attitude of one staff member. I found what was unmistakably a hair in the sandwich I ordered here. The waitress happened to notice me pull it out of my meal and immediately took the dish away, acknowledging it was a hair and apologising profusely. I still had a quarter of my meal left. When she came back she tried to tell me that it wasn't a hair but a piece of fibre from the cooks clothing (a lie to minimise the risk of an embarrassing admission i'm sure).

Nonetheless, she asked if I'd like something else. I told her that I was full but asked if instead she could do something about the bill, to which she agreed. So far so good. However, I didn't realise that one of my mates had already paid the bill. When I approached the counter staff to explain the situation, I was met with disdain and received a hostile attitude.

I was made to feel like a difficult customer, when a quarter of my meal was taken away and not replaced, and despite the waitress acknowledging fault. That one meal was begrudgingly refunded, however I left the place feeling as though I shouldn't have expected it. Incidentally, they also got both of the other two orders incorrect.

I have been eating breakfast here once a week for the past two years. Best eggs, coffee and the service is always speedy and friendly. Best bit is there is a small play area fenced off so Mums can have some moments of peace.

The hills lack good cafes and Little Rock Cafe could be considered one of the best cafes in The Hills. The prices for coffee are truly overpriced in comparison to coffee in the city! The food is usually good, however, not consistent.

Family came for lunch, some food was ok. Pizza for my little one came out as a half English muffin with cheese on top, is my interpretation of pizza with some type of tomato based sauce under the cheese incorrect, I think not! Not the experience I thought I was going to get after reading the reviews before dining there.

Baulkham Hills has been screaming out for decent cafes for years, and I'm happy that at last we have one that's not a Gloria Jean's or some confused hybrid mix of cafe/deli/pie shop. The coffees are great, food is reliably tasty and fresh and the service always with a smile. Only gripe? Would love to see them stay open for dinner!

We love coming here - usually for breakfast, or coffee stop, and sometimes lunch. The staff are wonderful - nothing is ever too much trouble. Even when our mothers group invade with all our prams, the waitresses are straight out to help move everything around so we all fit. Coffee is lovely and deals are good value. Have never left here disappointed (but have left feeling guilty for not tipping!). You can *almost* forget you're sitting in a shopping centre car park. The only downside is walking through the "cigarette zone" to get to the non-smoking area. We love Little Rock.

A regular dining experience for us with friendly personable service. The specials board is always creative and makes it a difficult choice as you'd like them all. The regular menu is also excellent value and quality. Love an evening dining option as well, please. Superb coffee!

The problem in the Hills is there are so few cafes of any description let alone good ones that this place gets good reviews due to shear lack of any decent competition. So yes, for the Hills its not bad as a cafe option for when you can't face the drive to Newtown, Five Dock or Leichhardt but lets not kid ourselves, its not that good either.

This is the best cafe in the hills. I go there to get coffee nearly every day, and they make the best coffee in the hills along with Cafe Albano in Northmead. The food is also outstanding, and consistently so. The service is outstanding, and has a personal touch. All of the staff know my name, and I basically know all of theirs because the staff turnover is very low.

The inclusion of this cafe to Stockland Mall has been the best aspect of the huge renovation that was done a few years ago.
