It is such a shame this restaurant has closed. The food was always of the highest quality and was comparable to any of the "Chefs Hat" restaurants.
It will be greatly missed by all its loyal customers.

I had the same problem with Andrew P. I purchased a scoopon voucher in november for Little Minnow and thinking that it would die down now I booked since last week trying to get a spot at this place. Their phone system went down, no voicemail available on the days they weren't open. I called during their lunch hours to no avail, dinner was very much the same.
I find it disappointing that given their seemingly positive reviews and the fact they are happy to take my money from me but not give me the service I was expecting (far from it actually) and that a mere phonecall claiming they did not receive my email earlier in the week only to find out they are fully booked out and I will be placed on the waiting list.

I have been trying to call for a week to book a table to use a scoopon, I Finally got through today only to be told that they do not have Any availability from now until voucher expiry and they will not allow an extension - funny that their website shows availability for lunch nearly everyday until voucher expiry. They were Extremely rude on the phone, leaving me with the impression that they just no longer wanted to honour scoopons - meaning I have to forfeit $50. We first started calling a full 2 weeks before voucher expiry.

Little Minnow is a small restaurant with limited menu choices. I found out about the restaurant after purchasing a voucher. My sister and I went on a Friday night in January and they were very busy. The food was absolutely delicious, but I'm sorry to say that the service was terrible. I'm not sure if this was due to being short staffed or because of the fact that we had a voucher. This was a real let down for such a nice little venue.

We went to this restaurant with the scoopon coupon and 2 small children in tow. We loved this little restaurant and is probably one of the best restaurant experiences I have had in quite a long time.
The entree was just ok. I ordered the salt and pepper school prawns and they were not really my cup of tea but that was more of me not really enjoying the texture of the whole prawn. My husband had the scallops and as with the last reviewer I think they had been frozen. But, the mains and the desserts definitely made up for any shortfall.
Our mains were the best salmon and cod I have ever tasted. They were both cooked to perfection and served with the most delicious sides. Our children had the calamari and chips and as with another reviewer I found these to be the best cooked and plentiful kids meals we have ordered in a long time. The chestnut pannacotta was to die for. Perfectly done. Unfortunately, for me my 4 year old polished most of it off.
As for the decor and atmosphere, it is a shame about the view but the food more than makes up for it. It is a small restaurant and could possibly get uncomfortable on a very full evening. We went for lunch at 12.00 and it was very pleasant. The waitress also made our 2 small children very welcome, not something that always happens outside of a "family" restaurant. We will definitely return!

We have been twice to this restaurant. The first time we went for lunch. I had the soft shell crab for entree, white fish with jerusalum artichokes for main and churro with chocolate sauce for dessert. It was absolutely beautiful and I couldn't wait to go back.
The second time we went yesterday, I had scallops with coconut cream, fingerling limes and chili for entree. It was really disappointing for $19. The scallops were bland and the sauce was watered down by the fact that I think they were frozen scallops and gave off quite a bit of water. My main was jew fish with gnocchi with cavalo nero and pine nuts and butter. It was extremely salty and ruined the entire dish. The gnocchi were almost like paste and the cavalo nero was very very tough.
Overall, we will probably go back to try a third time, hoping our latest experience was an isolated incidence.

Yum, yum. Like other reviewers, used a Scoopon voucher, plus took our two children for Sunday lunch. The food was sensational. Entrees are small but packed with flavour. The Soft Shell Crab was the best we have ever had, the QLD prawns were spectacular. The kids had huge servings of fresh calamari/fish and chips. The mains were wonderful. We tried the 3 desserts on the menu & all were fantastic. Plus, we were given a $10 return voucher. Yes, there are no views but really, who cares when the food is so good and service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We will return and recommend to others.

Eat before you go as meals are very small, Entree 3 prawns for $19.00 not good value, would not reccomend this restaurant if you like value for money; the food was good but nothing to write home about, house wine was good, traveled 1 hour to dine there but not again.

Went to this place with a scoopon not knowing what to expect. But The Little Minnow swims far beyond its name. No course entree main or dessert could be seperated in a masterful display of cooking, flavours and presentation. Soft shell crab was amazing. Fish perfectly cooked. Peach with French toast to die for. We will definitely be back for another feast! Great value with or without a coupon. Excellent personal service. Highly Recommended.

Came here with my girlfriend on a beautiful Sunday for lunch. Booked in advance with a Scoopon voucher. For entrees, I had the garlic prawns and my girlfriend the soft shell crabs. They were cooked to perfection and I thoroughly enjoyed it. For the mains, I had the mulloway while my girlfriend had the salmon steak.
Service was friendly albeit a bit patchy. After we finished our mains, I had to wait a *very* long time before I finally decided to call the girl over to order our dessert. Also it took way too long for each course to be brought out.
The restaurant itself is not very spacious and there is not much room between the tables. Decor is almost non-existent although the chairs were quite comfortable. It is also a shame that due to the elevation of the main road and the concrete barriers in the middle of the road you cannot see the water from inside of the restaurant.
