Tasty little place. Food was nice and quick. Ambience, what ambience? But a good place for quick meal, with token Bollywood in the background.

Who cares about the lousy ambience. It would be better if they had air-conditioning but a huge fan was a treat as we managed to get a seat near it on a very hot night. Some old buildings cannot be improved on so one has to take them as they come. What matters is the food and service. Here the servings were large and no floating oil as in many other Indian restaurants. The butter chicken was very tender and fresh and the fish curry was very fresh also. Spices were superb and the rice serving was also large. If it is great Indian food that you are after then you cannot go past this very popular restaurant .It is truly one of the best. It does have some downsides. Service was very ordinary - a nice friendly smile and greeting would be welcome. Also the rose lassi had a great taste but it was too small. In fact the smallest lassi that I have had anywhere. Worst of all it was served on a very hot night at room temperature. It should have been cold. We did complain about this and were offered the excuse that it was freshly made. Next time I will avoid the lassi unless they take it from the fridge. Friends have been regular diners at this outlet many times. You too will be after trying the fantastic food. Pity about the warm lassi. Lunch servings are small but cheaper so if you are starving then order more. Simply incredible food.

We dined using an Ouffer voucher on Wednesday 7/12 at 6:30pm and it was a quiet night.

Really enjoyed the mixed sizzler vegetarian entree and also the lamb mince with egg as it was served on a hot plate, very tasty! For the mains we had the Goan Fish Curry and the Chicken Madras, both extremely tasty and fresh. Loved them! The naan and the rice were plentiful and yummy as well, will definitely recommend for the good food. The mango lassi was nice too.

As someone else commented: what it lacks in ambience it makes up for in food.

We went there with a voucher and had a bad experience. Not sure if they only treat voucher customers this way, but the food was bad, staff were unfriendly, and the atmosphere was disappointing and noisy. Even the Indian takeaway food from Coles tastes better.

Here's what we had: Tandoori Chicken - small cuts of chicken that weren't fresh, overcooked till burnt, we couldn’t eat it. Stir fried cheese - tasteless chunks of cheese in cheap sweet/sour sauce. Garlic naan – baked hard and soaking in oil. Vindaloo lamb and butter chicken - These tasted ok, but the portions were so small, hardly worth the full price of $15 (btw, other customers without vouchers got the same portions).

Honestly, I find the Indian takeaway food from Coles tastes better. Dessert didn’t look great, so we didn't bother to stay for it. Walked around the corner to San Churros for a chocolate dessert instead. Would recommend staying away from this Little Haveli.

We had a dinner on Wednesday and the food was very good. Fish curry was amazing but the week point was the services was not good. The front staff was not serving the drinks, napkins and water on time but for take away its recommended.

We had a voucher for this place so I can't really comment on the value for money. We ordered our food and the entree arrived after half an hour, and then another half an hour later we were told one of our mains was no available so we had to reorder and almost an hr and a half after originally ordering we got our mains.

Normally we would not mind waiting and just talking, but the amount of noise coming from a few families letting their children play standing on the tables screaming we were not too impressed.

On the other hand, the food was fantastic, so tasty and so many great flavours in the dish. We were not too sure if the issue with service is common here, but combined with the complete lack of ambience we will probably not return, only ever for take away.

If you like good Indian food, the ambience isn't too important. I'd start off with the one and only bad point of this restuarant. For very little they could make the resturant much more cozy and appealing.

With that aside, tick the box for curries with amazing taste and tender meats. Tick the box for very reasonable prices. If you're not fussy about where you eat, this place is one of Sydney's best kept secrets when it comes to Indian food.

I lovvve this place! I've been coming here for years.

The food is delicious, with perfect portion sizes (on the bigger side!) at extremely reasonable prices. Especially compared to some of the other not-nearly-as-good Indian I've had in the CBD.

Service is great - quick and efficient. Atmosphere isn't the best (boring wood everywhere, bollywood videos on the TV) but it's more than made up for by the amazing food!

My fav is the chicken tikka masala... yum. Try it, you can really get a feast out of this place for verryy cheap.

It's a take-away, no-frills Indian diner! You go there for the great food, not the ambience! The food is better than most Inidian restaurants in Sydney. It's cheap and it's as authentic as it gets south of North India. Thali is the way to go, be it veg or non-veg. The food is flavorsome and fresh. The service is what is expected of a place like this - fast, efficient and to the point. Keep up the good work guys.
