The Lindt Cafe in Martin Place was the worst dining experience of a recent trip to Sydney. We arrived about 3 pm and got seated. We then waited for 10 minutes before having to ask for menus, and then another 10 minutes before asking someone to take our order. After about 5 tables who had come in after us had eaten and left, we asked when we were getting our food. They had lost our order. We left without being offered an apology. The place was not busy, it was just absolutely terrible service. Don't waste your time.

I always pay a visit to the Lindt Cafe when I'm in Sydney, it's a chocoholics dream. It's expensive but worth a visit, though the service is not the greatest. Try the melt-in-your-mouth delice with a long black, the combination of the divine sweet with the bitter coffee is just so good.

Whenever I'm in Sydney, I visit the Lindt Cafe. Fingers crossed it will eventually come to Perth, as the desserts are very good. Time: Friday morning.

Food: blueberry chocolat mousse cake, delicious. Ppera cake, delicious and visually very appealing. Drinks: mocha, I'm told it was very yummy. Iced mocha, wasn't the best, a bit watery and could have done with more chocolate.

Ambience: slightly chaotic, especially when a group of about 40 school children came in to buy snacks. DFecor is starting to look a bit dated. Overall: chocolate desserts are done very well, are very decadent, and I will be returning!

I went there on Saturday with a group of about 10 people. The staff were very unaccommodating to try to fit in our group. We waited for people to leave and when there was a few tables next to each other we grabbed them. The staff did not seem impressed and occasionally gave some of our group blank stares. I thought the staff were rude and they just did not seem to want to be there or to accommodate us the customers.

The Iced Chocolate I had @$7.50 was very nice but expensive. I don't think I will return.

The dark hot chocolate is a delight. I used to never drink hot chocolate until I tried one at Lindt. It's definitely up there amongst the best. The macaroons (Delice) are sweet and there's a good variety of flavours. They're very delicate though so travel with care if you're taking them away.

Chocolate specialists and that is what they do best. Savoury food, over priced so don't bother. This is purely a place you'd go to for a chocolate fix.

My mum brought me to this place, as I wanted to see for myself the Lindt cafe. I expected to see a lovely environment, peaceful, bright chandeliers, carpets, and everything to be clean. I was disappointed when we arrived and had to line up for 10-15 minutes, to find an incredibly noisy place that was crowded, not clean and not the best interior design. It was an anti climax let me assure you of that. We squished into a table which had dirty dishes and glasses from the people before, and even when they were taken away, the table was never wiped down.

My mother asked me to try the hot chocolate, but the man at the table next to us, had ordered it and said it wasn't good. So I ordered the iced chocolate and the St. Moritz cake, my mother ordered a flat white and a smaller chocolate cake. I found everything to be to chocolaty. The staff weren't anything special, in fact they appeared in a bored manner and didn't smile at all. Very disappointing. It's not anything special.

I like this place and their chocolate, however. We went there recently, I ordered the Lava Cake, $15 and the Dark Hot Chocolate, $6.50.

The Lava cake is a favourite of mine, however, the serving size was ridiculously small! I was really annoyed at how small it was only about the size of two tablespoons! It also wasn't warm as it should be but the melted chocolate on top was. Next time I am going to make my own version, choc cake with melted Lindt 70% chocolate on top and ice cream.

Also I am going to make my own Hot Chocolate version, Lindt 70% melted with and then mixed with milk. To buy the chocolate blocks from this cafe is more expensive than the supermarkets, today there is a special on Lindt Choc blocks at Woolworths and it works out to be $2 cheaper than what the Cafe was charging for a block!

Went in the school holidays on a Saturday at lunch time. Seated quickly and ordered quickly. I was with 4 friends and we all ordered the 'sandwich and drink' deal for $12. Took about 10 minutes till they came out and then about 1 minute later realised that he didn't toast them (which we all completely forgot about anyway!) and took them back to toast.

I personally didn't really enjoy the sandwich (it was a chicken one) because it had lots of rocket on it, although I could definitely see how one would enjoy it; like my friends did. Had a milkshake too this time, which was absolutely amazing.

To all the people complaining about the prices of chocolate there, I've been twice and have never even thought of buying the chocolate there. I go for the great drinks they make. And to top the price off, it's in the middle of the CBD what do you expect?

The savory food and desserts are mediocre. Desserts are about a 7.5 and savory food is 4.5. Both the hot chocolate and iced chocolate are rather dull. Just be mindful that the service is extremely slow, not rude, just slooow. The place has a nice bright and cheery feel to it and it's quite nice to sit and relax in the afternoon.
