Had dinner with friends last weekend. My entree of the tart was delicious, the pastry was literally melt-in-your-mouth. A friend had the Scotch Egg, something I hadn't seen for a long time, and from the fact that he'd had previously, assume that he enjoyed. My sirloin steak was a little over-cooked for my interpretation of medium/rare but the diners who had the fish said it was delicious.

I would have loved to have stayed for the dessert but will have to save for next time. Regarding comments about service, they must have taken to heart, as our waiter was effusively jovial almost to the point of irritating, obviously really trying to make sure we were not ignored or missing out on service!

Cafe Lyon is a real treasure, it would be a great find a bistro of this quality in the city but to have a so close to home on the upper north shore is fantastic!

The service was friendly and enthusiastic and the food was amazing. Must try dish of the night “pear tart tartin” Perfection. We can't wait to go back.

We were rather hungry when we got to this restaurant conveniently located near the Lindfield train station for dinner. The restaurant was rather full. Our order was taken in about 10 minutes. However, after almost an hour later we received our meals! It was the same for two families seated next to our table. We had malai kofta and mushy spinach curry with rice and naans.

The food was tasty. They forgot to deliver one item. While paying, told them about it. They acted as if nothing happened. This may be our last dine in there.

The food was wonderful at this restaurant, including the lovely mango souffle. Unfortunately, it did not have the service to match. It was only half full and the waiters just could not cope. 10 minutes before we were asked for our drinks order, and another 20 minutes before our food order was taken. The food came quickly though, so at least the kitchen is well-runned. Wasn't at all interested in offering us coffee after our meals. Dinner menu was limited, so probably won't return until they put out a new menu.

A lovely meal in a good restaurant. Tables seemed a little too close for an intimate evening but a good place to meet friends. Waiters were inexperienced but polite and enthusiastic.

My only complaint was the head waitress who was snobby, rude and clearly gave no direction the waiters. She ignore us completely all night, at one point she walked by and clearly noticed we had been served our side dishes but had no meals but kept walking. Later she leant on our table while chatting with the couple next to us for an extended time. I would go back to this restaurant, maybe on her night off.

Affordable, good quality Thai cuisine with a great atmosphere! This place has fantastically fresh dishes with flavours that really wow you! I love the seafood dishes in particular. It's a great local find and I have been there several times. It is always busy and I enjoy the hustle bustle atmosphere! You never wait long for food and the service is decent too. All in all, if you live in the area, you must check it out!

Went here for the first time a few days ago. The lunch special is quite good value, $8.90 for a very large serve of any of a limited selection of noodle and curry dishes. I had the cashew nut noodle which was quite nice though not outstanding. Others in the group highly recommended the chilli basil noodle.

Came here on a monday night, I have been recommended the place by a friend. Soon as we arrived the waitress (which I suppose is the manager too) was really nice and friendly, between 3 of us we decided to share both starter and main so we could had a taste of everything.

Start with a warm antipasto with the mix seafood fritters, that was really a good combo and different flavour melted in our mouth! then we got a ravioli, the cous cous seafood and the fish stew, all amazing but I must say my favourite was the cous cous seafood, nice selection of seafood on tomato base broth and the good touch of chilli but just as much as it needed!

Too full to continue we try to share only some ice cream to discover is homemade and tasty, what can I say? get back home thinking when I can go back and will be very soon-the waitress told me they are having live band in the weekends so may be good for parties too!

We had a lovely meal last (Saturday) night. The seafood casserole with sourdough was the dish of the night. Very good, and deliciously non-fatty/
oily. Ballaro specialises in Sardinian food, so it's not the usual run of Italian here, which is a nice change.

The live music was truly lovely and made for a special night, even though it's local. We will be back!

Sibi's Food is the best Indian food I have eaten in Australia. Very authentic South Indian food and very tasty. Service there is very friendly. I go all the time when I want to eat authentic tasty Indian food.

I went with my friends 11th of february, the food was just terrific, the service was excellent as well, and the musicians make the restaurant as a perfect place to visit, I really recommend it because we really have a good time. I did not know this restaurant and I definitely want to go back.

This is our favourite neighbourhood restaurant we live in Killara nearby. We are very fussy about Indian food and this is definitely the best we have tried in Sydney. The service is wonderful and they are very accommodating. The Vindaloo, lamb with spinach and benghali fish curry are the best! Their paratha is very good also.

I visit Tablespoon regularly for both personal and business meetings, mainly for breakfast. It is spacious, modern, and the staff are pretty efficient (although the faces change a lot).

The coffee is very and the occasional breakfast has been good but not great or memorable - after my many visits to Melbourne and Sydney's east and inner west, I believe Sydney's North Shore and its breakfast offerings by contrast are unimaginative and boring. So by contrast, Tablespoon does not stack up, but compared with the rest of Sydney's north shore, it is quite good.

A gem of a restaurant. Even though the menu is limited it does cover a wide range to suit any tasted. Very good value when you consider the quality and service. Have been on several occasions and the standard has remained consistent.

All the gelati are made on the premises with fresh authentic ingredients. Delicious favourites black sesame, lychee, belgian chocolate, hazelnut as well as blood orange, lemon and many experimental flavours. The staff are warm and friendly.

Khob Khun is a fantastic option for thai. Fresh food, big serves and friendly service. I have always done take-away but they have a dine option which is simple but good for families. This is the benchmark for thai take out for me on the north shore.

We tried this little local restaurant for the first time, in Lindfield last week. It's a clean little place that’s seems busy enough, with pleasant service. The menu looked good, although pricey, so expected good food. Was disappointed to say the least, so much so - that I would have preferred to stay home and have cheese on toast. My partner had steak and a potato combination of some sort underneath it. Steak was nice enough, but what was underneath tasted slightly wrong. I am sure the chef must taste test the food they are serving, non?

I had seafood in a bouillabaisse style sauce and cous cous. Odd'ish combination I know. The seafood combo was actually quite nice itself, but the cous cous was terrible. Not even seasoned and tasted stale with a slightly metallic flavour. May as well have had a piece of bread with the dish and missed the Cous Cous. To top it all off, we waited an excessive amount of time between Entree and Main, and other in the restaurant were also complaining. Suffice to say that we did not have desert and we will not be back. Poor quality and excessive price.

Wonderfully fresh food quickly served. Have eaten here many times. Probably best for take-away as the place itself is very basic with a few laminex tables in a noisy room (but somehow when I walk in there's always a table for 6), but its always fun.

Wonderful fresh fare. They have changed their menu recently and its become more expensive but its still cheap for such good fresh food. You can't go wrong!
