First of all, I would like to congratulate Lee himself, for it was Lee who had the foresight to envisage such a glorious meal vendor all those years ago. And who amongst us, in the community would have realised that the once humble beginnings of Lees Central Park Chinese Restaurant would soon become the best Chinese food this side of HK. Lee - that’s who. We humble mortals dabble with entry level reflections in our own kitchens feebly, why? The best in culinary cuisine is right on our doorstep.
This is one of the best restaurants in Sydney! The various sorts of crab and lobster served here are simply fantastic! The service is also great and the food comes out in less than 10 minutes! We would recommend anyone who is a seafood lover to come to this restaurant, you will not regret it!
Been here many times for lunch and I wonder why I keep coming back. May be I have a high tolerance for rude service. I think the senior staff is especially rude, he usually works behind the front counter. So we vowed never to return back to here for lunch nor dinner.
So today. We arrived at the restaurant without a booking. A simple inquiry about how long we need to wait is greeted with a arrogant I don't know, "AS SOON AS POSSIBLE". And then funny enough, we are able to walk straight in as soon as that response was given.
And then when we finished, I asked for the bill and a receipt when I presented with a credit card at the table. By the way, they only take VISA card and only if it is over A$30. The lady waitress brought back my credit card receipt to sign, but there is no receipt. So I asked her and she responded by saying that I should get that myself at the front desk.
Okay. Great customer service. So I walked up to ask the senior staff for a receipt. He responded in the most rude manner as if it is a lot of trouble. And the most unbelievable thing is that when he handed the receipt to me, he said next time if you need a receipt, you should come up to the counter to pay. Wonderful, geez, I don't think I work for you and my god, you are not the only restaurant I can go to. See you later. Never seen as people as rude and as arrogant as this. Good luck to them. I will not return.
This resturant serves some of the best Chinese food in Sydney. The service is great and is excellent value of money. I love the dessert soup they gave us at the end. Extremely popular.
Great food and good ambience. Extremely popular with locals and Chinese (especially HK!), David will look after you if you are HK, Eric will be much better if you are not (sorry, that's just my experience that there is a division amongst customers into these two categories).
Food is consistently delicious, it can reliably wow every visitor this side of HK. Service is prompt, Eric is the consummate professional and even if you get seated in the 'wrong' section you'll still get great food, but may not get the appropriate level of service. Value is great for Westerner dishes, including the banquets; make you own judgements of the seafood - it is very popular (as are congees etc) and consistent, though maybe not as great value as the standard dishes.
This place is normally 80-100% full for very good reason - consistently great food at very reasonable prices and service ranges from adequate to great.
This is the second time I been to this place and ordered crab, and then to be told that all crabs have only single claws. Not at the time of taking my order but only told me when they brought out the live crab for a look. I think this is pretty misleading. But this is the way they treat their customers and we would probably will never come back for dinner as nothing put us off more than being misled.
My daughter and I stumbled across this place and we just had to bring the rest of the family back the following week. My favourite is the chicken and ham roll for entree. The service is friendly and not pushy. If you go once you will be back.
This is undoubtedly the BEST chinese i have ever tasted! i went there with my husband and young daughter for a special occasion and it was a great night. i am not usually a fan of lemon chicken, but my husband ordered it and it was to die for! the seafood chow mein was awesome and we tried for the first time the deep fried ice cream. everything was beautifully presented and it was all very reasonably priced. i will definitley be a repeat customer!!
To call a night at Lee Central Park a "complete culinary calamity" would not only be an undeserved alliterate insult to Lee himself, but a complete reversal of what the true state of reality is. The food is the finest Chinese you'll find in the entire North Shore, the ambience is incredible, and the service... well, let's just say that you'll want to get Lee over (Lee, the maitre d') and ask him to shovel your rice for you; his dual spoon technique is brilliant to the point where mere words cannot even to begin being able to consider being brilliant enough to describe how brilliant it is. As for value, well, Lee could charge anything and I would say it was incredible value; however, he doesn't! His prices are as low as the inverse of my standards for Chinese food, which are quite high, let me assure you of that!!
And to top it off, each meal is concluded with either a fortune cookie or a platter of delicious fruit. I love Lee!
