I just love this place. The Quail and Shaking Beef would have to be all time favs. The food is always fresh and tasteful. They have done up the decor so it's not so daggy anymore, all they need to do now is change the music.
I used to love this place, pink-and-grey 80's decor and all! It was dirt-cheap, but the food was fresh and great. It was a perfect venue for big group dinners or a casual meal with a mate.
So what happened? I was pretty disappointed the last time that we went there for a laid-back Saturday night meal. No, it wasn't awful, nothing really went wrong. But it just didn't live up to past experiences. We had a much better time having a beer at The Riverview afterwards...
Hopefully it was just a bad night, I was pleased to see a few positive review below.
I nearly cancelled our booking based on the reviews but I'm glad I didn't. It's all about the food and value at this gem of a cheap eat. The decor is very 80's - pink napkins/laminated menus but the food is delicious and so cheap. Perfect for a girls night out/alternative to cooking at home. And the 2 waiters managed to take care of over 30 diners whilst we were there without any complaints.
We have been going there for over 6 years and found the food wonderfull, all of it. The service is not to bad and the value can't be matched. To the bad reviews don't know what your game is but you're wrong, take it from a long time customer.
Le Bich used to be great but maybe new management or chef's but it is now terrible. Tastlesss food and no service, based on our visit we can see why it was empty.
I had a great night here. We ate masses of food and it only cost us $18 per head. Not a huge variety on the menu (and no Pho!!!), and they used cups with handles for the tea, so not very authentic, but still good value for money and our food was fresh, delicious, and well presented.
Superb. Best food and just love the staff. Been coming here for 6 years and still consistently excellent. Never, never had a bad meal, not even an average one...always excellent and never even a millimetre of fat or gristle! The staff are delightful...if you let them. If you are expecting a brash, loud Aussie type service you will be disappointed.....but I know what I prefer. Anyone who says from their experience the staff are rude and the food is awful! Sorry I don`t believe you...maybe you run a competitors Vietnamise restaurant in the area or you are just an extremely bad judge of people and food...nothing else explains such a report. Can't wait to go back there .
This is the worse Vietnamese restaurant I've never been. The food is bad, the service is unpleasant. The pork inside rice paper rolls are full of fat, the prawns are unfresh, I strongly do not recommended to anyone!!!
VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! I have been getting very into Vietamese lately and have tried many different restaurants around Sydney. Le Bich was by far the worst I've tried. The rice paper rolls were so stale tasting ( like they had been sitting there all day) the prawns were very rubbery and the chicken was inedible, grey and grizzly, like eating the offcuts of the offcuts!!! The service was pleasent but not good enough to excuse the poor quality of the food.
Very well priced (read cheap!) but well prepared, good quality food served in a friendly environment. Not a place for the Big Night Out, but a great spot for a cheap and simple dinner anyway.
