This French-run cafe has a modest street frontage in a line of terraces not far from the Powerhouse Museum, and the greenery in pots outside could certainly benefit from some TLC. You order and pay at the counter, and can eat-in or takeaway. It was not very busy when we visited mid-morning for a late breakfast. The serving of Tarte Flambee with potato and salmon did not look large but was filling and amazingly delicate in texture, and probably had just come from the oven. An almond croissant was tasty and the coffee was good. The inside of the cafe is quite small, with the tables at the front very close together. However there is a good supply of reading matter to browse while waiting for your meal.

Excellent French cafe serving great baguettes with an assortment of delicious fillings. Coffee is very good too.

Le Depot is the best cafe in the area. Unfortunately, too many people have discovered it so it's often rather crowded. The baguettes are delicious as are the quiches and the desserts. Excellent coffee. The staff are really nice. We had some catering from there last week and everyone was very impressed. There was a fantastic Morrocan salad and one of my colleagues said it was the best cous cous he'd ever had. Highly recommended.

Great little cafe. A tad crowded but it's nicely decorated, great ambience. The baguettes are delicious, tried the lamb. The bread is nicely toasted (option) and not your average bread roll. Recommend.

Had lunch here Thursday at 12:30 pm with a group of 8. The server was really nice and came up and offered to take our orders at our tables (rather than have all of us go up to the counter). The decor is a bit dim/cosy where we sat, but I loved the bean shaped cushions for the seats/booths around the table at the back.

I had salmon baguette which was filling and delicious (I was really impressed as I was just expecting a typical "subway"-like roll). The baguettes are $7.50. I got my baguette toasted and when it arrived, it was really hot. Only thing I think could've been done better is: more filling inside the baguettes, a lighter decor (it was so dark, I felt like going to sleep), don't over-toast the baguettes. Mine was good, but by the end the roof of my mouth was hurting a bit from the bread.
