I had lunch there last Friday with a friend. The food was lovely, the service great and the atmosphere relaxing. Am definitely going back!

Went here for breakfast and the service was absolutely appalling. The staff were incompetent. My husband and child waited 25 minutes for our drinks which they had obviously forgotten about (the senior staff took the order). Next we ordered our breakfast (one dish each) which took 40 minutes to arrive. When the food came, it was only one dish. There was some sort of mixup and only one dish was cooked (really?).

The rest of the order was lost in the ether. The waitress offered a free meal to compensate for this mistake so my husband ordered a BLT. She said that it will be pushed to the front to expedite it. As we were waiting for the BLT, the bacon and eggs I was eating was terrible. They were extremely amateur tasting and bland. I had finished eating and still no BLT. Waited another 10 minutes and watched other people receive their order.

Obviously it was not brought to the front. We could not wait any longer as my child had grown restless as we had been sitting there too long. I paid for the food and the senior staff did not say a word to me. She acted oblivious the whole thing. The whole thing was too dramatic for a simple breakfast at a cafe. If they cannot handle a simple breakfast shift I'd hate to see how they deal with lunch. Never to return here again.

The name change to La Fountain is a feeble attempt to get customers. The changes required for this cafe are too fundamental for the owners to be running a business.

This restaurant has changed its name to La Fountain but that all that has changed. We took our 2 kids(aged 19 and 21) for brunch the other day, this restaurant looked nice and it was clean, those are the only decent things, it was all down hill from there.

On the menu they offer White, Brown and Wholemeal Bread, I asked her what was the difference between the Brown and the Wholemeal she laughed derisively and said I "was asking the wrong person" not sure who I should have asked, she was also not inclined to find out, the breakfast arrived and were very ordinary, I am sorry but I can cook as good as this.

Next the coffees were weak and I asked for skim milk and received normal milk, also coffee left an awful aftertaste so I could not drink it. The bill was $74 dollars which is highway robbery for rubbish. The Rouse Hill centre really needs to lift its game.

I recently dined at Le Cafe De Mary, after hearing nothing but wonderful praise about the cafe's food. My family and myself arrived at the cafe at around 11:30, to find a full house. We asked if they wouldn't mind letting us know when a seat was available inside, and they did. A girl came out and informed up as soon as they had cleared the table.

We ordered the two servings of scones to go with each other our coffees which were served to us around 3 minutes after ordering. My husband and my daughter both ordered a BLT, the only thing I could fault was the salad was not fresh, it was the packeted salad, but still very good taste.

The atmosphere was good, the music was very loud though, but I asked if it could please be turned down, and she kept asking me if it was low enough and suitable. Although I think they could consider playing more of an array of music, not just one era of music taste.

All round good day, I have already been back there twice since that day.

The worst cafe I have ever been too. The food was beyond terrible. My partner I and went there for breakfast thinking we would support a small, local operator, but we will never be going back.

First off I ordered an orange juice (approx. $4.30) and what I got was the Extra Juicy brand of OJ, poured directly from the 3L bottle. This is the worst tasting OJ, and got us off on the wrong foot.

I then ordered pancakes which were supposed to be garnished with strawberries. What I received was the Tip Top piklets from a packet (I'm assuming they were because what I received was not freshly made or cooked and not the size of pancakes) which were cold, along with cold maple syrup. The garnish of strawberries, was one small strawberry cut in half.

I then asked for the pancakes to be heated up, and when they came back 30 secs later were luke warm. Service was not great and I'm extremely disappointed. With so much competition in the area I had expected better, and I urge all future patrons to reconsider their choice of venue.

Recently went here for a Mothers Day brunch. The service was horrible. They have the rudest staff. We waited 10 minutes before someone asked us if we were "right" which we then asked for menus. The man who took our order was nice and read the order back to us. He also told us they were short staffed in the kitchen so the hot meals would take longer than expected. Which was fine. We ordered bacon and eggs, drinks and scones.

They came back to advise us that they were out of scones so we switched to pancakes with icecream. The drinks came out, tea in mugs with a tea bag and not in a pot as asked, no teaspoons and milk in a coffee mug not in a jug. We asked for sugar as the sugar container was empty and they pointed at the table and said there was some on the table which there wasn't. We ended up going to an empty table to get some sugar. We asked 3 times for teaspoons before someone bought it out. The mugacino was not in a mug but in a cup.

3 others joined us for coffee at this stage and when we asked the wait staff for a menu for them they pointed to the front and said they are over there. So after we got our own menu we had to go to the counter to add to the order. We ordered 3 coffees and banana bread. The coffee and burnt banana bread came out quickly and the 3 left the table as our bacon and eggs were arriving.

The bacon and eggs looked messy and not worth the money, my eggs were not as I ordered so I sent them back. We were given no cutlery and when we asked for cutlery the wait staff seemed annoyed that we ask, how dare we need cutlery to eat a meal. The pancakes came out next with out ice cream. When we asked for ice cream it came in a coffee cup which had just come out of the dishwasher so was hot which made the ice cream melt.

All meals had finished and we were ready to leave and I still had not received my eggs. We told them not to worry and informed them we were unhappy with the rude service. They did not care and did not apologise. We paid over $40 and will never go back again. This is the rudest service I have ever had.

Recently dined here for lunch, for a family birthday. We had heard good reviews of the cafe, especially for their breakfast menu. On arrival we were not greeted by the two male staff, who ignored us, not even saying hello. We took it upon ourselves to take our own menus and seat ourselves. After waiting for ten minutes to be served, we noticed the waiter walked straight past us, instead taking the order of a woman who had come in after us.

We placed our order, including drinks, with my family members all being served their drinks promptly, I however, was still yet to be served. My family member had to attract the attention of another staff member (who seemed to be the senior staff) to inform him that I was still awaiting my drink. He apologised for this incident and was courteous, the same cannot be said for the other staff.

Food - The quality of food was terrible. Perhaps, the cafe should stick to what they apparently do best which is breakfasts, but their lunches are awful. Previous to our lunches being served, we witnessed other patrons sending back meals. One of our family, who had ordered the grilled chicken, found the dish was dry and burnt. My other family member ordered their $25 seafood combo, expecting a generous serve. Do not be deceived! When the combo arrived, it was a pitiful array of 2 tiny portions of frozen fish, 2 shrivelled and burnt frozen calamari rings and two shrunken frozen prawn cutlets.

When asked if this was the serving size for a $25 meal which was evidently burnt, the waiter simply shrugged his shoulders and did not apologise. We cancelled the meal, with no apology from the staff members.

Another fault of the cafe is the service and attitude of staff. We watched while a woman waited at the counter to be served, only to be ignored by the staff member, and then to be ignored further as he greeted friends and informed the wait staff to serve his friends when they were ready.

Overall, for a cafe that is meant to be one of the best in Rouse Hill Town Centre, I and my family were severely disappointed all round. To add further insult to injury, our bill came to just under $72 (minus the seafood combo) for four people, for dishes that are quite simply not value for money. I will never be going back again and will be telling friends just how bad this cafe truly is for lunch.
