The owners are back from an extended holiday, thank God. With George back in the kitchen all is right with the world. Eating here can be a little like going over to your Dad's. The menu is a concise blackboard list of favourites. Meals arrive when they arrive, but are consistently good, as is the coffee, which arrives swiftly. If he's in the mood to do a pasta special at lunch, it's a must-eat. The guys here are lovely. The cafe has a beautiful humble ambience, with simple wooden furniture and no tricks.

Latticini has that local community feel. Frequently populated with regulars who undoubtedly return for the reliably consistent coffee.

Food always tastes great, though tends toward the small size considering the price. If you don't mind the prices you'll enjoy the quality. The atmosphere is nice and laid back, though at times this is reflected with slow service. This, perhaps, as the previous reviewer states is due to the somewhat haphazard ordering system.

I really like the food, coffee and general vibe of the place, but $7 for an espresso and banana bread is a bit steep to make a daily indulgence. Save it for the weekend.

We went to this cafe for a quick bite at lunch time. It was a very disappointing experience. We ordered a bacon and haloumi roll and scrambled eggs with fetta and mint and two coffees. I ordered at the counter and paid then sat down to wait for too long. After about 15 mins the man making the coffees asked what we ordered and again I repeated my order for coffee which came out soon after.

We then waited almost an hour with no food. When finally we were asked again for our order. An old man was busy cooking at the back. The coffee maker was doing his best to make the coffees but the idiot who took our order was just pain hopeless. He did not advise the man making the orders of our order. When our food finally came out (after we reminded them of our order), my hubby received his bacon and haloumi sandwich which was not worth the money we paid.

I didn't receive my order and finally gave up and asked for a refund for my order for which I stood at the counter and asked three times before I got my money back. The man who took my order was in denial that this was completely due to his incompetence of taking a simple order and communicating with his colleagues. He was trying to pass on the blame to the poor young man making the coffees who was trying his best to keep things in control. Very disappointing!
