I have got take away pizzas from La Stazione for years now. I love the home italian feeling, nothing showing, great service, always greeted with a smile. Pizzas are excellent and seriously better than other pizzierias in the area.

The staff were nice and attentive enough, although one staff member was only wearing a tracksuit which we found off-putting. They had the same one song on repeat the whole time we were there which got very annoying.

The food was cheap, both in cost and quality. The pizzas had about 3 times the amount of cheese and 5 times the grease they should have, and the bases were overcooked (and I like crisp bases). The Cannelloni had a bit too much cheese as well, and was very basic. One of us ordered Spaghetti Bolognese, but they had run out of Spaghetti, which seemed very strange for an Italian restaurant. She got Penne Bolognese, which was the best of our meals, but still quite basic and boring. A place in Northbridge is a bit cheaper in cost, but quality, ambience and service is considerably better.

I have eaten here several times. It has always been good. Pizzas are excellent. There is a good range of pasta dishes. Unfortunately, they no longer offer the veal and blackboard specials. Its only Pizza and pasta. BYO wine and beer. Very friendly helpful staff.

If you are expecting gourmet, $100 italian meals, then this obviously isn't the place, but for good, hearty italian food, family atmosphere and value then this is for you. Went with the family and the chef brought out a tray with some raw dough for the kids to play with and then bake, we made a dog!

I'm a regular diner at La Stazione, as some friends of mine live just up the road. I've just read the review from 'strik3r', and I'm disappointed, to say the least. I have never encountered greasy plates or cutlery at La Staz, and in my experience, the customer service has always been very good. And the prices are more than reasonable. As for this cosy little restaurant being 'old and outdated', I won't even dignify that comment with a response!

I've had a few reasonable take away pizzas from this restaurant, although I wouldn't recommend the Bolognese topping. Steer clear of the evil-tempered chef, who stalked around the half-empty restaurant muttering "rude people" when two of us dared to sit at a six person table (mainly as we wanted to keep away from the draft from the door and also not crowd another couple).

The food is good, the pizza is better than average, the pasta is great. The place itself not that great though, old and outdated, and cutlery and plate feels greasy.
On a quiet night, only one person is doing the customer service, and hence not too impressed. With the prices, along with good food which they already have, I would expect better overall place, cutleries and service.

Just had a meal here, the service and staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The pizza did take a little time to come out but when it did, it tasted excellent! Highly recommend the specials! and the choc mousse is good too!

My family and I went to this restaurant with high hopes but were sorely disappointed. The pizza came out all soggy and the carbonara fetticine I had was all eggy and too creamy. The only good part was the garlic bread.

I have been dining at La Stazione for several years now, and it is one of my favourite North Shore restaurants. I have never had a 'dry and tasteless' pizza here, in that time. And I have never had a problem with the salads either.

La Stazione is a great little restaurant that serves great pizzas, pastas and chicken and veal dishes. Jack and his staff look after regular customers like my friends and me very well, and we keep coming back.
