We ate here on a Tuesday night recently with the family for a special occasion. Service was attentive without being intrusive. We share recommended starters as we just couldn't decide on individual dishes. The antipasto was scrumptious especially the home made pillow bread that was served with it. The fig with crispy prosciutto was unusual and really tasty. I then followed with the Yamba bay prawns that were perfectly cooked, succulent and fresh.

Although I am not a dessert eater I could not resist the flaming Bombe that perfectly rounded off a great meal. We will be returning very soon with a large group on a Saturday night to really get a feel for the vibe of this place as we already know we will not be disappointed with the food! Bon Appetite

Everything is great except the food. We had high expectations after reading all the reviews, and the menu looks interesting. However, the food was too disappointing that we actually couldn't finish them (which had never happened to us). Crisp veal is way too dry with no flavour whatsoever, and the osso bucco again is tasteless while the risotto is way too salty. I hope it was just a bad night but I won't want to risk again.

Ate here and will def go again and just want to say the service here is First Class, gorgeous waiters and waitresses that know their stuff, friendly, efficient, beautiful food and Love This Place.

The service is certainly what sets this restaurant apart from so many places that rely on students and disinterested backpackers, it was perfect. I thought the food was honest but nothing special, the serves were very large. The wine list had a lot of interesting choices, and the tables were well spaced. You really can't go wrong here.

Service was perfect from beginning to end. Very professional and knowledgeable staff. The restaurant also had a very nice ambience.

We started off with the anti-pasto, this was really nice and a good start to the evening. We ordered the lamb cutlet and meatballs for mains. The lamb cutlet was very disappointing, it was dry. And the potatoes that came with it had literally no flavour. Also it came with only three lamb chops. The meatballs were nice with the bland polenta and mushrooms.

However, all in all, I came to the restaurant with high expectations, and was left disappointed. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back.

Dined in a group of 4 on Friday after a friend highly recommended it to me. The small gestures from a restaurants makes a huge difference. Complimentary prosecco, bread and samplings were great.

We shared the zucchini flowers, ravioli, gnocchi and squid ink spaghettini were all delicious. I couldn't pick my favourite out of the pastas and my dining companions absolutely loved the zucchini (I am not a fan of zucchini flowers in general).

I had the hapuka stack special which was cooked to perfection. My dining companions had the veal, lamb and osso bucco which were all just as good! Seasoning just right, cooked to perfection and plated beatifully.

For dessert, we had the millefoglie and parfait which were a nice finishing touch to the meal. Would definitely come back, especially for the pasta, and I will recommend this place to my friends.

Really can only say: Wow! Food is tasty and amazing like the real milanese - place is lovely and the service is good. Expensive but one of the best restaurant in Sydney - well done guys! ;)

First off, I love the phone hello - "La Pesa, buongiorno!"... It really makes you feel like you're going to an Italian restaurant.

Food was fantastic. Loved every bit of it. Ambience is quite nice. Nothing extravagant, but just right. Service was very friendly, prompt, and professional. Can't ask for much better. Bit expensive, but it was expected.

Recommendation - 8.3/10 - Locals should definitely give this place a shot as it's a little gem. Great place to go with a few friends or family members if you like a relaxed and Italian feel.

The owners here are absolutely amazing. Very friendly service and consistent in both food cleanliness. Very rustic, hearty Italian cuisine. A perfect dining place without out a doubt.
