This is probably one of the classier restaurants in Gladesville. We went for my birthday last Saturday night and everyone enjoyed their meal. The restaurant was packed and the only downside was that for this reason, it was sooooooooooo noisy! But still a nice place to go. My advice - skip the entrees and garlic breads to leave room for the creme brulee for dessert. It is The Best!

Not a cheap place to eat for your local restaurant, but the seafood is fresh and the service is great. Had the mussels and they were divine. If in the area, I do drop by as the decor and ambience is nice.

To quote the famous tennis player, you cannot be serious. We've just returned from our Valentine's Day meal out, which was lovely. But the bad taste left by the $80-a-head charge for the set menu will take some time to dispel.

The food was great - entrees of tuna carpaccio and stuffed zucchini leaves were excellent; main meal of barramundi was OK but truthfully, nothing special (some potatoes and spinach as accompaniment - woop de doo); creme brulee dessert was melt-in-the mouth and the highlight of the meal.

But, and it's a huge but, these prices are so unreasonable as to be extortionate. I tried to discuss this with the manager, a compact, pony-tailed gent who would hear nothing of my suggestion that the menu was overpriced and gave me a lecture on how much he paid for his superior fish (not that you'd know it from the meal we had) and begged me not to tell my friends that this was an expensive meal.

I'm sorry but suburban restaurants like this give restarauteurs a bad name. The service was efficient but not up to the standard of a place charging $160 for two, before we'd even cracked open a bottle of wine. Corkage was $4 per person - again, excessive to the point of greed.

And we had to pay for a coffee that was good but again, the service was wanting - milk on the side failed to materialise until it was asked for again.
I'm afraid we won't be back and we'll be telling anyone who cares to listen that this is a place to be avoided, if only for the sake of your bank balance.

I'll start off by saying the Pana Cotta was fantastic and the Tiramisu was soft and moist and I really did enjoy the Creme Brulee. Everything else that we tried was quite average and some of the dishes were a little on the salty side for my personal tastes.

The service was attentive and friendly but the ambience does need some touches here and there. The place is quite stark and bare with nothing much to look at. The floors are tiled and the tables cloths are crisp and white but there isn't anything else on the walls or the tables to make it welcoming or warm. Not somewhere I would go out of my way for but it does seem to be much loved by the locals and regulars as I have heard great things from them.

A full restaurant on Saturday night meant a very noisy experience as others have commented. The food was good and good portions although still quite pricey. Service was very attentive.

Six of us dined here and shared three entree platters, had a main course, bread, salad and tea and coffee, amounting to $55 per head. The $3 per head corkage was a bit much when one person only drank water. The food was very good but it is a noisy place, having a tiled floor and and being relatively bare. The service was quite good, and a waiter followed us up the street to return a wine carry bag which one of us left behind.

The food was well presented, good size portions and tasted great, the stuffed zucchini flowers entree I will go back for. We walked in off the street at 6.45 pm on a Saturday and were given service as if we were old time regulars, that is service. Prices are high but you do get what you pay for.

Came here last Sunday with family. Only a few tables were occupied so the noise levels were low. Service was prompt and friendly. We all really enjoyed the food, including tuna carpaccio, spanish prawns in oil and mussels in napolitana/ parmesan sauce. Two of us had the grilled seafood platter which was fantastic. The calamari was exceptionally nice, only letdown was the octopus being slightly chewy. Desserts were crepes with marscarpone and tiramisu which were well received.

The portions sizes were generous, especially the mains and we were very happy with the overall value. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys seafood.
