Went here for dinner with $29 voucher for two entrees, two main courses and two dessert. Thought that was extremely cheap so why not try it as we had never been here before. There were six of us.

Here are some points: Service was non existent. The restaurant was full to capacity so it looked like the waiters were run off their feet. Service is so important, if we are going to wait so long to have our meals please tell us so we don't get excited each time a waiter comes out with dishes that aren't ours. There was practically no service.

The menu's did not describe what was ordered. Eg, The tagines I did not expect to be cooked in a broth. Food did not match the menu description.

The food was disappointing. The chicken tagines had two drumsticks and a few carrots/zucchini pieces. One entree was meant to be lentil and lamb soup but did not have lamb. Either that or the menu was misleading. I was originally set on seafood tagine but was told they had run out (this was 8pm on a saturday night).

The atmosphere was rather dull and the place was quite untidy. It took too long for the food to come out. Condition of the plates were poor. Desserts - chocolate crepes was a cold crepe with cottees chocolate or similar ontop.

Overall, pricing seemed good in accordance with the deal, however, the full price on the menu is definitely not value for money. The deal did not seem as cheap as what we thought.

Absolute disaster! we arrived with the cudo voucher at 1:30pm. Our table was wobbly and wooden seat was too uncomfortable to seat. We ordered immediately and then we waited and waited and waited again! Starter served 50 minutes later (yes! and I’m not kidding) entrée‘s supposed to be two separate dishes. He combined them as a share plate without asking us.

Needless to say I needed a magnifier to see what’s going on in there. We waited for another 35 minutes and I was so frustrated with the ignorance and delay not knowing the situation is about to get even worse. The main meal was awful! The main menu? How on earth two drumstick can take 35 minutes to cook! tasted like feet to be honest. I was too close to just storm out but the dessert arrived. A slice of thin sweet piece of Lebanese bread with some drops of liquid chocolate served as a dessert and that left my wife and I speechless.

I do Not recommend it to anybody to waste money and precious time on them because you will come back home hungry and devastated like we did.

Food was bland. Went there with a voucher. From the experiences from either diners in this site, it can be deduced that the husband does not like anyone to come in with a voucher. The service was very very poor. The wife was nice but not the husband. I left a tip as I felt that was something I had to do since the voucher itself was not worth much. But I should not have done so. The service was so bad that I had spent all night and this morning thinking about it. I would never go back there again, and would not recommend anyone to get there either.

Like some of the reviewers below, my wife and I went to La Kasbah on a $39 coupon voucher. I can only say I am glad I did not pay full price. While the food that we were served was excellent, the portions were extremely small. But what soured the experience for us was the terrible customer service. I don't know how long we waited until we were served, and then for the food to come out to us. Looking around the restaurant, we weren't the only people experencing this issue.

In my opinion, it seemed like the restaurant weren't particularly fond of people coming in with vouchers, and so treated them quite disdainfully. I would definitely not recommend La Kasbah to anyone purely based on the poor service.

Dined here with a friend the other day using a $36 deals voucher for 2 entrees, 2 mains, 2 desserts and coffee and tea. I’m glad we didn’t pay full price as the servings were tiny. The lady was nice and seated us quickly and gave us menus when we arrived. I tried ordering the Steak Marrakesh and Seafood Marrakesh for my main though both were supposedly not available, the 2 most expensive mains in their menu hmmmm…

So I ordered the fish tajine and when it arrived my friend said where’s the fish? 1 small piece of perch under veggies. My girlfriend ordered the chicken tajine which consisted of 2 chicken drumsticks and was way too sweet. Desserts were ok – crème caramel was great though the briout (sweet pastry rolls with a cheese centre, with crushed nuts sprinkled on top, served with honey and cream, according to their menu) was missing the nuts and honey.

Considering we waited a good 10-15 minutes for our plates to be cleared and we had to get their attention to order dessert and coffee, we didn’t bother asking about the nuts and honey. The restaurant also smelt like wet carpet, possibly because it had been raining outside but this could have easily been rectified by a few scented candles.

The tea and coffee wasn’t served until after we had finished our desserts. I agree with the other reviewers that it seemed like they wanted us out of there before we ordered dessert and tea and coffee. Definitely won’t be back.

Ok, so I was a cheapskate and went to La Kasbah on a deals.com voucher. That being said, you would think I would have rated the value a little higher, but even the deal on the voucher couldn't make up for the lack of excitement or taste with the food. When we entered, the place smelled lovely, with the aroma of cooking spices and such. I had such hopes!

I may have made a mistake by asking the waiter/owner to decide what we were to have for the night, rather than read the menu myself. I thought this might give us a more authentic choice. If waiting for over half an hour for the first course to arrive, along with a flat glass of soft drink was authentic, well, I achieved the goal.

We started with the bread and dip plate. The bread was lovely, fresh, warm and soft. Unfortunately, the "Hommous" was dry, grainy (in a very un-hommous like way), and looked like it had been scooped out of a week old container. The rest of the dips were so-so, and the two lamb "kebabs" were overcooked, dry and frankly, looked like we had been given the last two bits of lamb they had.

Then the mains came... A chicken dish, I'm not sure what exactly it was, as none of the dishes were described or explained. I was expecting a wow moment to make up for the entrees, but sadly, this never happened. He lifted the tagine lid with a flourish, for us to be met with a yellowish watery soup with vegetables and sultanas, and two drumsticks... yes, drumsticks.

I understand the need to cut costs, but seriously, drumsticks in a stew? Thighs would have worked so much better and had so much more flavour. But, in the interest of giving the benefit of the authenticity doubt, maybe Moroccan chickens have sexier legs. Along with this, was the same kind of dish, but with beef chunks instead of chicken. And I mean chunks! There was four large chunks of beef swimming in the broth, and while it would have been enough for two, it was dry, stringy and tough. Pretty much inedible.

Even the broth it was sitting in had absolutely no flavour. It tasted just like a very bland vegetable soup. The couscous was nice though. If couscous can be nice. We decided from there that we wouldn't be waiting for dessert, considering we had already been there for two and a half hours, and had yet to be even satisfied with the food. The beef dish was inedible, and after picking the meaty bits off the chicken, decided that was enough.

We got up from the table and as my partner walked outside the senior staff indicated puzzlement to me, so I politely said that the meals were bland and had no taste. He said to me that this was the first time in 17 years that anyone had said that to him. Seriously, even the best restaurants would have at least some people not liking the food in 17 years. This pretty much said to me that he wasn't interested in my feedback so off we went.

If bland, uninspiring food that could easily be knocked up at home with a packet mix is your thing, this could be the place for you. If you're looking for an authentic or traditional taste of Morocco, maybe not so much.

Every time we phone to make a reservation and tell them we have a coupon they tell us they are fully booked, and that even included a Monday night! Just forget it.

We had dinner at La Kasbah using a $39 voucher. Both the two entrees and the two menus were extremely small. The main menu was the size of an entree, if not smaller. I've tasted Morrocan food before and looked forward to this meal. We were very disappointed. The food was bland and the meat dry. The dessert was ok.

Giving customers the impression that they get a meal of the value of $84 for $39, and then providing such a meagre dinner, is Misleading advertising. We will definitely not be back.

Anyone planning to go to this place do yourself and your pocket a favour and do not go!

We went here using a cudo voucher and I must say the service was ridiculous. We were not offered drinks. It took the guy 20 minutes to take our order and another 30 minutes for the entrees to come. We ordered the lemon chicken tagine which came with 2 drumsticks!

After we were done with our mains it took the guy another 25 minutes to come to us to offer us desserts. I had a feeling he wanted us out of there before we ordered the desserts. With the dessert ordered the pancakes which were cold and to top it all we weren't given cream which normally comes with the dish! So once again do yourself a favour and visit another Morrocan restaurant.

Went here for a family lunch. The ambience and atmosphere is nice and has a very Moroccan feel. We ordered the lemon chicken tagine and for a serving of two we got 4 drumsticks. This we found was appalling, its hardly something to expect in a tagine meal - the food was cooked nicely but it just looked wrong, or maybe that's how they cook the chicken in Fez.

I understand that its a family run business, and the wife is lovely and insisted we sit back for some complementary tea which was nice. We paid full price for the meal but my son found hair in his meal and the bathroom wasn't clean. We have travelled extensively so probably expected something better quality in terms of food. We won't be going back.
