Nothing special at all. Pizza - below ordinary. You can buy a frozen pizza in a supermarket and after heating it up in oven it will taste exactly as in the restaurant. We ordered chicken with semidried tomato and capsicum, no comments at all, dry, tough chicken breast with tasteless potato and plenty of tomato pure. Ate dinner without any enjoyment and left with disappointment. Me and my partner always try new restaurants and it is just disappointing to have smth like that, just wasting of money really.

My wife and I went to lunch at La Bora based on a friend's advice. My wife is an expert in Parmigiana and I love my fish. Thank goodness we booked because it was full within half an hour.
The food was spectacular. No heavy sauce on the fish, beautifully cooked and really tasty. Accompanied by a Capel Vale white, just a brilliant lunch. The waitress was really lovely and attentive. Thank you La Bora!

Went to La Bora just before Christmas with friends. I was pleasantly surprised with the whole experience! Our waiter was very helpful, the food came out quickly and the pasta with seafood was a standout. I thought the pizza was super tasty and just the right thickness. My friends salmon dish was also very fresh and tasty. The garlic prawns were good and the crème brûlée outstanding.
Prices are reasonable and the staff is Very nice looking (both male and female waiters). I highly recommend this hidden Gem. In fact, have been back for the second time this week.

A big thumbs up to this place. I had an absolutely delightful lunch here. We were in and out in under one hour – great for a lunch break and excellent quality food. The pizza’s and linguini crab are one of the best I've ever tasted. A nice intimate atmosphere but at the same time you are not afraid to make some noise. Good service by staff and excellent value for money. Can’t wait to go back and take my partner there.

Worst place ever. The staff was rude and arrogant. The food was bland. Also we waited close to an hour to be served.

We went as a large group for lunch so I think the kitchen was a little under prepared but there are basics which they were not even close to getting right. We waited 20 minutes before being asked about a pre-lunch drink, another 10 minutes before any of us saw a menu. We only ordered a single course because by this time we were starting to run short of time. An hour later our courses arrived and a number were wrong so it was back to the kitchen and amazingly the correct ones appeared in 5 minutes! The food was fairly ordinary, neither tasting fresh or looking appetising.
The overall appearance of the place is grubby and when returning from the toilet area the back of the door was filthy with all sorts of stains and paw prints. Its not an expensive place but it doesn't have to be to get some of the basics of reasonable food freshly prepared in clean surrounds. This is one place where you would look for other alternatives to dodge it - a waste of money in my view even at their prices.

My only complaint is the limited choice of wines on offer. Food is always very very good in this restaurant and the service is excellent, however, there is a limited choice in wines and I find it very difficult to choose a reasonable standard wine. Boys, get your act together! Get some decent wines! After all, there is no shortage! Big pity!

Went to La Bora with 28 work mates. We chose for a set menu for $30 per head. Which added to $840 in total. But there was hardly any food! The food was very average. The first "entree" pizza took 1 hour to arrive. There were no sea food pizzas. It was mainly vegetarian and a few ham Pizzas. I can guarantee that we only received 10 odd reasonably small pizzas where most of us were literally being cautious to just take one piece so there is enough to go around. There was limited pasta as well.
It was a waste of money. They were bringing one pizza every 20-30 minutes, so we were there for nearly 2.5 hrs….Jeez I buy that much pasta from GPO (1 Martin Place) for $10! And the environment was stuffy too! The guy (owner?) came and asked if we need pizzas and we said yes…the guy heard “we like the pizza”. In the end most of us left with half empty stomachs and it was a rather exhausting experience.
Not going to the place again. I can't believe we even left them a $40 tip after spending all that money! The bill added up to $1100. Could have eaten for cheaper in any other restaurant! If there was a negative rating I would have chosen that.

I come back to this restaurant week after week with my girlfriends. It is great value for money, and I haven't eaten such great Italian cuisine since I was in Italy. The staff are family and not your usual professionals in Sydney restaurants but they certainly do their best and make some great recommendations. I highly recommend this restaurant!
