I've only had the almond croissants and almond choc twists so far and they're the only reason I keep going back.

La Banette is a Food to Culture classic. One of my favourite boulangerie on this planet. It's not just about the food - I've had better pastries in Paris. It's the ambience, it's the friendly smiles and the atmosphere.

I ordered an opera cake from here for my birthday party. The staff were friendly and helpful and the cake was divine! They even offered a money-back guarantee, now that's confidence in the product and great service! Clearly though, I didn't need it. Can't wait to go back and try their other pastries and breads.

Love breads thanks to the baker. Hate the service, thanks to the staff who is very rude and don't know the basic service.

I've been hearing lots of good words about this little cafe on Glebe Point Road. All of their cakes are to die for. Last time we were there, we had the feuille mielle and opera cake to eat in & their lemon tart to take away. Simply the best. Great coffee also. Too bad this place is too small and doesn't have enough sitting. As far as I could remembered, they only have 6 or 7 tables with limited seats. The staff attitude could also be improved. But overall, I would recommended this place to anyone. Will definitely be back to try other cakes and pastries and pies.

Love this treasure of a place. Discovered it when I was at uni across the road and used to go here to buy lunch or just that small something sweet to satisfy. I now buy my bread from there all the time because its so fresh and tastes fantastic. The pastries however look and taste like heaven.

The seats in the cafe aren't the most comfortable (or stable) but the fact that they have seating in a bakery cafe which is so small is really good coz its nice to sit and have a coffee and pastry for a little while rather than take and go.
I look forward to going to La Banette all the time.
