We were told the Kurrajong Hotel had recently changed management and was worth a visit, so we dropped in and were not disappointed! What a great spot! The atmosphere of the hotel was buzzy and decked out with beautiful decor. The food was mouth watering and the staff were all very friendly. Who could ask for more?! Well done guys we will definitely will be back very soon!

Popped into the Kurrajong a couple of weeks ago, apparently they are renovating the top floor into a bigger resturant, there is a new chef also, the food was fantastic, I had lamb shanks and my partner had beef cheeks the meat was so tender and the flavors were top restaurant standard, and pretty reasonable, can't wait for the Reno to be finished, it's such a great part of Erskinville.

Yet undiscovered, this little tavern in Erskineville is a delight. Full of character and personality and spared from that New Town attitude. Food is simple yet delightful. It’s like dining in your own back yard with a personal chef to your disposal Ha Ha.

Been a while since I have eaten at the Kurrajong and it appears by the previous comments that I haven't missed much! However, Great news! New chef George has arrived, this chef is amazing. They do a $5 feast menu for lunch and on Monday nights. Huge meal, definitely a feast. Don't order sides like we did, you won't fit it in. Cheap schooners too.

Excellent food, the Chef was the cook at The Spanish Club for 15 years. The Paellas are awesome, probably the best ones in Syd. Heard they gonna open a proper restaurant upstairs, can't wait..A+

Superb! After a long time in the wilderness, this pub has at last found a great chef. There is now a Spanish theme to the menu and the tapas was excellently presented and was very tasty. My friends and I really had a great night. I recommend the steak, prawns and Spanish meatballs, and if you’re a fan of mussels you’re in for a treat. Will definitely go back again soon.

The Kurra has a new cook starting in January. After a year of cooks and chefs traipsing through the revolving door to the kitchen upstairs, lets hope 2009 is a better year for the Kurrajong!

I semi frequent the Kurra with a fair group of people. Out of 10 of us probably only 3 still eat there as the food is terrible. Until recently it was at least somewhat reasonable priced. What is more the so called kitchen staff that apparently looks like Vin Diesel has no clue about the meaning of service and was rude despite clearly making an error with our order. I will be going with the majority of the rest of our group and will definitely never be eating there again.
