I've had take away from here on a number of occasions. This week when I was waiting for my food, I watched the staff preparing the food behind the counter. Some staff wear plastic gloves, but the guy filling the take away steamed rice was using his mouth to remove excess rice from the containers.

Delicious food. Always very fresh. Small cafe type eatery. Well priced. Service ok, slight language barrier, however, staff are always polite.

The food here is amazing. Tastes amazing + is amazingly presented.

I really appreciate the effort they put in at this place to make the sushi look so good, my last teryaki chicken one had lovely lettuce leaves poking out of it in a very clever way.

Highly recommended for the flavours, service is ok, but sometimes feel like they are 'trying' to be nice to you, rather than genuinely nice, but this could just be because they are busy?

Prices are very very reasonable.

This is a great little hole-in-the wall place to get some tasty donburi. Their hot food is of a great standard and their sushi/sashimi is quite passable too. Try the yakisoba and you'll be quite content.

I travel to asia quite frequently and find that the food here pretty close to what you'd expect to find in Japan (albeit you don't really have everything-in-the-one-place restaurants in Japan).

Kura is a small Japanese Restaurant with the feel of a Cafe. It is conveniently located in Pyrmont and perfect for a late lunch or early dinner if you are not looking for anything too fancy. The food was great and it was good value for money.

We had Tuna Sushi, Udon Noodles with Pork, Pork Gyoza and Edameme Beans, all for just $36. I recommend this for a relaxed meal that is tasty and light.

So it looks like there are new owners here and the service is still just as good. The food was the same as before, but the price looks like it has gone up significantly. There were no set menu's anymore and for what we were looking for seemed a little over priced. Not the same Kura as we knew it.
