I am a regular at Kouzina Greco and I have to say the food is mouth watering the service is warm and friendly and there is always value for money, obviously some people are out to have a bad night.
I read the reviews on Eatability and it seemed decent - I was totally wrong. Absolutely awful – will not be going there ever again. I have tasted better Greek food else where. The food was disgusting and the service was bad (talk about forgetful). Also expensive. I was extremely disappointed!
A night out at Kouzina Greco is an unforgettable one! The food is mouth watering, the service is attentive without being overbearing and you will definitely not leave hungry as the portions are very generous.
The restaurant setting is very cosy, I have been there in a group and as a couple and both times were perfect. I love the fact that they have interesting specials and your favourites never change.
Only recommendation is to ensure you book so you don't get disappointed. Especially on a weekend, Kouzina Greco books out fast. Peter & Alana are a great team, the personal attention they provide is what's lacking in a lot of other restaurants in my experience. Keep up the good work, see you soon!
Whenever we go out for girls nights, we have always gone to Kouzina Greco.
Food absolutely the best Greek food I have ever had. The special dishes are amazing (stuffed zucchini flower, divine), and the staples are always gorgeous - my fave is the slow cooked lamb (Kleftiko), it literally melts in your mouth, the meat is so tender and just the right amount of spices and lemon. The dessert is fab - you have got to try the Loukoumades (honey puffs topped with icing sugar, cinnamon and honey). And there is a 10% on takeaway!
Ambience: The staff are more than happy to change the music if you're getting a bit tired of the cheesy traditional Greek stuff they sometimes play, and once it get's quieter towards the end of the night, they'll normally put the radio on and have some more up beat music to listen to.
Service: Love the fact that the family are working in the restaraunt. They're always in a great mood, make sure we're all happy and satisfied and will come and join us for a bit if they have time to spare. It is always busy, and the service is fabulous.
Value: Get the degustation meal for value. A good night with BYO will set you back around $50.
Went here with 14 others for a farewell work dinner on a rainy winter night. A solid all-round performance and something novel, I haven't bothered much with Greek food beforehand. It's a small restaurant clustered with many others at the river end of Church Street in Parramatta. The staff were fairly organised and polite, the decor more stylish than I expected, and a few nice touches especially the open barbecue and the buzz. They were almost full throughout the night so in summer I know they would be busy.
Most people had the degustation for simplicity and there was an appreciable freshness to the flavours and a good balance of classic dishes, including dips, dolmades, tomato/garlic sizzling prawns, haloumi cheeses, souvlaki, lamb casserole. Also a la carte I really like the pork sausages (daily special), and the beef casserole dish with onions, sweet and very tender. The malt biscuit sandwich was novel and just the right size and texture for a rounding off dessert.
Fair value, $55 for 3 courses and I brought my own bottle of red ($3 corkage). I would certainly give it a go if you're in the area but do book.
Love this restaurant. My friends and I always go back for the mouth-watering mousaka. Service is fantastic. Nice cosy place for great tasting Greek meals! Highly recommended!
I was here a few months ago and was pleasantly suprised. The food was delicious perhaps a bit overpriced but still very nice. I ordered a bottle of still water and the waiter poured it for me in a glass which had a slice of lemon. I think the lemon was cut with a knife that had cut an onion because all I could taste was onion. I found the waiter who served us very unapproachable, so much so that I felt I couldn't bring it to his attention, all I wanted was another glass or another bottle of water.
Other than that I had a wonderful time, yummy food and great company. Will definitely be back soon.
I have been to this restaurant about four times over the last three years and have always enjoyed excellent food and service. They have a reasonable selection of wines. The kleftico is a lamb shoulder slow roasted in a clay pot with potatoes and it is absolutely fantastic. I also love their grilled haloumi. Friendly and accommodating service makes this a place I am always happy to return to.
