The service is cold ("What, no cash?"), but at the the charcoal burners are warm. I liked the smoke in the room, but you must wash your clothes afterwards.
Food was OK, the service was not so good from time to time. We use to go there because it's good value if you are a meat lover, but not anymore. If you want some descent food I would recommend somewhere else.
This is absolute the worst Korean BBQ place I've ever been to. My friend and I walked in at 8:20 pm. We were assured that there's still plenty of food. They were quite right, they did have heaps of lettuce and mushrooms. The meats was almost non-existent. Plus, there was no more miso soup. We waited more than 30 minutes for our hot plates to be set up.
I politely asked the waitress when they'll replenish the meat, instead of getting a proper reply, I was given an annoyed look, and was told that it's our fault that we didn't go to the restaurant earlier and that they won't replenish any food. After giving them a piece of my mind, I was assured by a very very rude staff that they'll bring out some more meat. My friend and I was practically cooking only mushroom the whole time while we were waiting.
Of course, the meat never arrived. We paid more than $25 each for eating mushroom. This is definitely one of the most disappointing dining experience I have ever got. Plus one more thing, after our hot plate turned black, the staff ignored our request to change the plate. My advice is, before you sit down, take a walk around the food bar, make sure there's really food on the plates before agreeing to dine there.
I went to this place on Saturday. The service was poor and the staffs were rude. It took them half an hour to have the coal fired up and put on our BBQ. They don't change the burner plate often enough and the food gets burnt really easily. When we kindly ask for service they were often rude and inattentive. The ventilation is non existent as the only thing that sucks the smoke is your lungs and your clothes.
I had my birthday party here and all I can say is that don't come to this place. Firstly, there was poor ventilation especially for a BBQ restaurant. We ended up smelling like smoke afterwards.
Secondly, the service was POOR. The hot plate would be all black and you had to wait 20mins for the plates to be changed. It takes them even longer to change the charcoal when it was dying. Not only that we had a group of 29 people and they charged us with 30. When I told them there were only 29 of us, we were met with rude and hostile staff!
Thirdly, the tables are tight, no leg room. Food was just okay. If they had changed the plates more often so our food doesn't get burnt it would be okay. Not recommended.
Ate here awhile ago. Pretty good value for what you pay and not a high-class Korean BBQ joint like some others. The tables are kinda tightish (annoying when your knees don't fit under the table properly). but the meat and seafood is fresh, and at an ALL-U-CAN-EAT, at the very reasonable prices they charge .... no one is complaining. Good for a nice casual dinner.
