Have been eating here regularly for 10 years. The food is great, cheap and quick to come out. Great for a quick bite or leisurely dinner. Always a favourite.

Easily one of the best Japanese restaurants in Sydney. Looks are deceiving, the decor and atmosphere is basic but the food is magnificent. The senior staff/ owners are incredibly friendly, gentle and accommodating. Lovely place, we will always return. Excellent Japanese food, every time.

My family and I eat here very often, sometimes two to three times a week. We love the place, the sushi is great, the people are lovely and friendly (and we know it's not just because we have nearly paid all their bills for several years) and there's something for everyone.

The tempura is excellent, the sushi is possibly the best in Sydney and the salads and gyoza are superb as mentioned before. Having said that, the teriyaki are nice but nothing special as are many of the other things. They would be acceptable for anyone except food critics.

The place is BYO and they will keep your sake for next time if you're good. They have their own sake though, but no beer and wine if thats what you want. Overall, not the finest dining in the world but good, clean, delicious food for the casual diner. Love it.

Ok I don't understand the recommended reviews here.

I came here fror lunch on a weekday and I can honestly say I am never coming back. I had teriyaki beef, it was bad, you can tell that the food was at least 2 days old, it was chewy and tough. My friend had two sushi rolls which were wrapped in clear plastic even though we ate in, they also had teriyaki chicken and it just did not look appetising. Thanks but no thanks.

Great little Japanese restaurant. Went there with some friends I worked with in Japan and we were impressed. The fried oysters and gyozas were great. The sashimi was fresh and abundant. The dinner box was excellent value. We will be back for sure!

I love the food at Konnichiwa and the staff are very friendly once they get to know you. The sushi and sashimi are excellent and very fresh. Fried oysters are yummo! Busy, bustling atmosphere. Probably my favourite food/restaurant.

This is my favourite Japanese restaurant on the Northern Beaches. The eggplant, salad and gyoza are superb! The staff are extremely friendly.

For Sydney, the sushi is very good. It would not stand up in Tokyo, but you can't really go to a beach like Mona Vale in Japan. The green salad was noteworthy. Ambience is not romantic, but service is very quick. Clean, yummy, and consistent. Now, I just need to find a place that serves kani.
