I've been here umpteen times over the past two years, the latest being last night. I've had no reason to complain about the service. That being said, it is always better to go here with a smaller group (2-4 ppl), rather than a larger group of five or more people.

Slow service - from sat down to the 1st plate of food took a full hour. Sushi rice was definitely not fresh, the rice texture is totally wrong. Noodles look terribly westernised, feels like eating 2 minutes noodles instead of proper ramen, the roast pork was a total rip off.

Ordered a chicken stir fried noodles but gave us seafood one instead. There were a few prawns, okay but the so called oysters were exactly the same as those from an Audi store tin ($1.1?) and tasteless.

And this is on a Saturday night. Totally ruined our evenings. Do not go unless you absolutely have to.

Went here on a Sat night. Wouldn't recommend to friends and will definitely not be going back. Meal was average, service was less than average with one person having finished their meal before the other meal arrived.

I had heard good things about this place so I went here for something different. I have never been so disappointed in my life. The portion and freshness of the seaweed salad was insulting. The California roll was flavorless and the size or a 20c piece.

None of our meals were brought out on time, in fact one of my friend received his meal 30 minuets after us. I cannot emphasize how disappointing this experience was for me. They serve better sushi at 7-11.

Komachi has not changed hands. I have been going here for years and they have always served simple Japanese presented in a careful Japanese way. The menu is pretty basic, but the noodles are wonderfully fresh in yummy fragrant broths. The sushi is made with good quality fish. This is a cafe style eatery - don't go for an occasion, but for a simple, healthy and fresh mid week meal!

I have never written a review for a restaurant before but felt compelled to do so this time. Like the last couple of reviews I was completely disappointed by the service provided. I too believe there may have been a change in management.

I called to order a lunch box for pick up. After having gone to the restaurant and picked up the lunch box, I received a call from the restaurant 15-20 minutes after I had left saying they had forgotten to include some sushi. I admit mistakes can happen, but they should have realised this and contacted me within 5 minutes of sending out the order, not after 15-20 minutes. I then had to turn back to pick up the sushi as they refused to deliver the forgotten sushi to my work (roughly 15 minutes away).

In terms of food there is definitely a drop in quality. The food portion appears to be smaller and the method of cooking has changed. Definitely not as good as before. I have always had a good experience with this restaurant and cannot believe the complete turn around. I will not be coming back.

Looking from the reviews below, this place has changed dramatically. I went with friends who had been there before and enjoyed the experience. However, this time was extremely disappointing. After the entrees, we waited for almost 2 hours for the mains to arrive. And they forgot the salmon sashimi. They did not give any explanantion or apology regarding the wait time. It was not particularly busy as we went on a wed night. Quite a few takeaway customers came and went as we sat and waited. I fear there has been a change of management or chef.

Really disappointed with the staff and food. We were placed upstairs without any attention or service, feels like dining in the food court. Not sufficient to fill up 2 people for a banquet of 2. This is my first visit with a voucher of $38 but I think it is a rip off for paying full price.

Was really disappointed, used a voucher which was for a banquet dinner for two. Totally not worth it. I hate to image people actually paying full price for it! Over priced for a very below average meal.

I was truly disappointed with this restaurant. I ordered a chicken raman and it took 70 minutes for them to prepare and serve it. After waiting for 45 minutes patiently I asked the waitress who snarled "its coming ok". No apologies nothing! After one hour I asked for it again and suggested that if they hadn't commenced preparing it that I would prefer to cancel and leave. She told me that I couldn't cancel because they had already started it. Again no apologies. Meanwhile the restaurant was barely half full! Others were receiving their meals. By the time I received my soup and the others at my table who had already ordered ramon, our friends had already finished their meals and were onto desert! Please do not go here - you would be better placed to go to another restaurant where the typical courteous Japanese hospitality occurs.
