Absolutely love the food here. It was a great fun night. If you want value for your money I do suggest else where.

Very expensive, commercial and sexy restaurant. I enjoyed most of the dishes, however, they're not typically Japanese. We had the degustation that was well spaced throughout the night. Standouts were the alaskan crab leg and #1 special.

I thought that this place was the most expensive restaurant for such bad food. Miso soup was $8 but it tasted like out of a packet of an instant miso soup. Everything seemed to be over cooked and is so overly priced for really bad food. I have been to Kobe Jones a couple of time 2 or 3 years ago, food was excellent.

The quality had definitely dropped. I have been to so many different Japanese restaurants before, food is much better and cheaper. I’d not recommend this place to anyone. I am so disappointed as I was a big fan of this place before.

Bought a Groupon Deal - 13 course meal, went last night. The food and service was great. The food was great, I was full by fifth meal. Had a great night. The deal was amazing.

We've had the mushi your sushi set menu and we enjoyed everything in it. The view was amazing and the service was good. The only downside is that they are a bit pricey.

I dined here using a voucher for the 11 course degustation. Although the first 6 courses came on the smae plate I thought it was okay. I thought the volcano rolls looked like a mess when it was brought to the table. Alaskan crab was not good at all. Completely bland and stringy,i left pretty much the entire thing there. The Wagyu was a joke. as previous reviewers have stated it was not hot enough and a peice of fat was used to oil it. Dessert was really small. I understand why people would be quite mad if they were paying full price and even at the voucher price I was not pleased. I hope they realise they need to lift up their game.

    Beware Spreets (or similar) deals.

We bought one of the first Spreets deals for a 14 course menu, except that Kobe Jones doesn't actually have a 14 course menu, so we were given 12 courses with a dessert to share. The waitress was very polite, but just played on her inadequate english when I asked about it, so I gave up.

I'd eaten here a couple of times before years ago, and always wanted to come back. However, I had been warned by a friend that the quality had dropped, and she wasn't wrong. Our set menu would supposedly have cost $179 each at full price (instead of $77 with Spreets), which would have been a complete rip-off. For not much more than that you could go somewhere else and experience some truly high quality dishes.

Some of the dishes, like the No 1 Special, were delicious. Others, like the Agedashi Tofu and the Soft Shell Crab, were awful and I couldn't eat them. I've had far better agedashi tofu from almost any other cheap lunchtime sushi place.

Service was average. I've had excellent food and service from most of the Spreets/Living Social deals we've tried, from far classier establishments, which means that we're definitely likely to return to those places and pay full price. Kobe Jones, on the other hand, was a huge disappointment, and we won't be going back.

    Not recommended.

Food was good, but whats with the cheap chopstick? Services was, Lets say I had better at the local sushi shop. It was 90% tourists, so that explains why they are still in business.

Just went for lunch at the Teppanyaki restaurant within Kobe Jones. Possibly the worst value restaurant I have been to within the last 12 months. While we didn't have a booking around the BBQ we certainly didn't need one. So Friday 12.30pm and no one in the foyer. I called the number on their business card.

Eventually someone turned up and we were greeted with a solemn "how can I help you"? Really? turns out the food was ok but the price/food/wine equation is so out of touch with reality.

Such a poor experience when potentially it could be much better. No wonder it must have been the most empty lunchtime restaurant in Sydney for a Friday.
