Great food and great value. I like the BYO as well. Well worth a visit.

Had dinner here on a weeknight. Very friendly, polite staff. I had the home-made pasta dish, from the blackboard menu - I'd come back anytime just for this meal. The restaurant is small but all the side window/doors open up with tables onto the small side footpath. Lovely ambience on a summer evening.

We went here on New Year Eve with 4 other friends and really enjoyed it. Food, I had the best Spaghetti Di Mare ever plenty of flavour without tomatoes, others had the chicken lemon very good, chicken pasta nice, barraumundi
and the calamari which was a great sized portion for $16.50, the bruschetta was nice but a little overpriced for 2 slices. Service was efficient. Value $85 per couple for nice food = Good Value.

Just good basic fare without the fuss. Wait staff are very friendly and compared to other establishments in the area this one gets my vote for best all round. The cannelloni is simply awesome.

I had very lovely pasta for lunch today while my friends enjoyed BLT and steak sandwich. What a lovely place on the corner! Coffee was absolutely great and very friendly service was well received. I definitely want to come again. Thank you.

If you want a decent coffee with your breakfast or for morning or afternoon tea- do yourself a favour and walk on by. Head around the corner to the French cafe or Bacino, grab some food there too instead of here. What a disappointment. After living in Kirribilli for a few years, I was excited of the prospect of a decent cafe in such a great area. I would hate to think this was a tourist's 1st impression of Sydney food, appalling.

I agree with The Constant Eater, food quality here is abysmal. Kirribilli cafe has the potential to be one of the best eateries in Kirribilli but presently is no way this. I recently went for lunch after not frequenting it for almost a year. I was sad to discover that nothing had changed apart from their prices.

All I have to say about this place is that it's perfect for Sunday morning brunch on a sunny day. Great food, great service, great atmosphere.

Recent Visit: Even though not feeling completely well, my husband confirmed my worst fears, that this is bad quality food at very bad value. Mussels was only a small bowl (probably about $2 worth from the fish markets), but at $19.50 you would expect at least all of them to open so they can be eaten! Insalata caprese didn't shine as it should due to the horrible tomatoes and poor quality of the bocconcini used.

As for my tortellini, it was worse than a supermarket specimen and I couldn't quite work out if the slightly rank flavour came from the tortellinis themselves or from the limp bacon (masquerading as pancetta) hoicked in. Also a bit rich at $19.50 considering there was no more than $3 worth of tortellini in the dish. I didn't hang around long enough for dessert but apparently the wateriness of the tiramisu attested to the fact that it was frozen (though charged at a freshly made price).

People, wake up, we are being had. I'm downgrading the status from "innocuous" to "noxious", and they needn't expect me back, ever.

Earlier Visit: This is fairly generic cafe fare and execution, though a pleasant enough spot to spend a wintery weekday evening. Sampled: a beetroot salad special, which was okay but a bit underdressed for my liking and a calamari and chips that was spectacularly bad value for the $16.50 given the price of squid at the markets and the size of the portion.

Plenty of other places around the vicinity that are more likely to tickle my tastebuds, but this would work for a more sedate, relaxed dining experience featuring an inoffensive menu to suit the majority of tastes (especially the unadventurous).

Went there for dinner not long ago and was pleasantly surprised, Garlic Prawns and Bresaiola are very tasty starters, and the Wagyu Beef Rump was perfectly cooked. Nice little wine list with some imported reds and whites, try the italian Pinot Grigio, will be back soon.
