We had our son's baptism lunch here today and we were very impressed. Drinks and food were well priced and everybody commented on the meal portions being so large. Why pay $$$ at a steak house when you get such great value and taste at this tavern. Staff were friendly and very accommodating setting up the room with table clothes and helium balloons and providing table service. We couldn't have asked for more.

This is a strange place for a tavern. If you blinked, you'd miss it, tucked up behind an abandoned old fish and chip joint. We thought we'd give it a try early in the week for a quiet lunch together. The food was very impressive, and the price very cheap. Ambience was relaxing, with only the occasional tradie watching sport in the corner. My husband and I conversed as to why this place wasn't full at lunchtime, because it really should be with the service and products it provides. Great little place with friendly bar staff and a great chef. Really over delivers!
