I've eaten here twice and food is ridiculously overpriced for it's quality. I've tasted better fast food. Bland. Service is just Ok. Nice place for drinks, but I will never eat here again. I'd gave the benefit of the doubt first time, not the second.

A group of 9 (including 2 visitors from Melbourne) went there for lunch today and we were very disappointed. Will never go again. Food was mediocre bordering on poor and only 3 of us finished their meals. The avocado in my meal was brown and tasted off. Service was slow and disorganised with the waitstaff coming to our table several times with the wrong orders. Were not asked whether we wanted extra drinks, dessert/coffees. Practically ignored.

Being on the main strip and around overpriced and under serviced restaurants, I had my doubts. We had a largish table and the service was fantastic, the food was surprisingly good and the live music was a nice touch. My partner and I both had the eye fillet and it was cooked perfectly and full of flavor.
Definitely worth a visit.

Food is overpriced as quality is poor. The menu mentions something about food being freshly prepared so understand there may be a wait. My beef pie was not freshly baked. It was obviously cooked and refrigerated, and then re heated. Not good enough for $25. The meat inside was chewy and dry.
Service was average. When I asked if I could have fries instead of mash with the pie, I was bluntly told no, it comes with mash. The waiter frequently came to our table to take a few drink orders, but neglected to ask each individual if they would like another drink (despite empty glasses). Will not be coming back.

We visited Brewhouse on a busy Saturday afternoon for our friends birthdays. We did not book a table as we werent sure if we were eating or not. The venue itself is very nicely done, its a little loud, but what can you expect in such a buzzing location & don't forget it is both a bar & restaurant. The winner here is that it is well spaced, so although busy you do not feel cramped in.
The drinks were a little pricier than other locations on this strip. But they were very well made and the waitstaff were very good in remembering our orders which is pretty commendable for a place of this size. We did not try any of the beers brewed on site but will be back to sample.
We decided to eat there and were told it was fully booked. If we wanted to eat, we could wait until 6pm for the bar menu to begin but we wouldnt get a table in the restaurant until 10pm and it was a set menu for the night. After speaking with a fantastic host (whos name I dont remember - very friendly smiley guy of islander appearance) he went out of his way to accommodate us. We were given a table provided we were out before 7:30 & could order off the a la carte menu. Which was exactly what we wanted.
Not only did he go out of his way to accomodate us for dinner, he got us another table outside when we were finished, AND brought us complimentary drinks and shots!! Maybe it was the Christmas spirit! It just goes to show there are good people out there & its not all about getting you in and pushing you out. Service gets a 10/10.
Ok, onto the food. Not a single complaint from our table. And we are a picky bunch so this says a lot. We had steaks, kangaroo, prawns, sides & a mix of entrees. A lot of places along King St Wharf (like Darling Harbour) are overpriced & rubbish, mainly catered for the tourists who will just accept it. So we weren't sure what to expect for a bar/restaurant on this strip as past experiences have proved costly & unsatisfying.
A somewhat expensive menu with good choice of options had us excited & hoping Brewhouse would break the mould. And did it ever! Our steaks were cooked precisely to order, perfection!! And the other meals were all very well presented & tasty. We did not stay for dessert, but I can't wait to go back to try it! Of the places along King St Wharf, Brewhouse ticks all the boxes. Its got to be your first choice.

Came here with a work function of about 10 people mid week. The place was somewhat empty.
Surprisingly there is no rating for food for this place, just drinks. So with that in mind, the drinks themselves (beer) were fine and poured by someone who knew what they were doing with a tap.
The knowledge of the actual beers on hand by the waiting staff was, however, well below average. I expected better from what is supposed to be a brew house. Not a single member of their waiting staff could tell me anything about the beers purportedly brewed in-house apart from a name and a difference in colour. Brewhouse, please teach your staff something more about the different beer for goodness sake! With respect to the service, it was otherwise courteous enough.
As regards food we had a mixed mezze entree and I ordered a main of T Bone steak and have to compliment the chef on serving a perfect rare-medium rare steak, exactly as requested. The pepper sauce was great and certainly had a nice kick to it that I have not experienced elsewhere.
Overall, I would be happy to return although everything there is a bit overpriced for mine, but I guess you are paying for location. Hope your visit is a good one.

I had lunch and drinks here with work last week. Work was paying so I had the lamb cutlets as an entree and a T-Bone with mushroom sauce for the main and a cherry ripe cheesecake for dessert. Aside from feeling a little crook from eating too much every bite was fantastic. The place has had a bit of a facelift since I last visited and it has paid off.
The service has definitely improved, the place looks cleaner and the food is excellent. Highly recommended. Seeing some of the bad reviews here I can honestly say they must be responding to the feedback. I was hesitant to go after reading these reviews but I was pleasantly surprised as were my workmates. I hope they can keep it up and take advantage of their vantage point on the wharf.

The food is over prices for what you get, the beers selection since changing from James Squire Brewhouse to Kings St Brewhouse has no uniqueness about it, most of the establishments along the wharf stock the brands they have now. Service was appalling and it is very confusing to dine there, al a carte is in certain sections which has no difference except for some bad table service and inflated prices. They encourage families but it is too much of a pub scene to take the kids or parents.

We went down to the well presented restaurant on a pleasant sunday afternoon. I ordered the pork belly which was 29 dollas on the menu. I was expecting something decent after seeing the chef dressed impeccably in his little white and blue outfit. After a 45 minute wait my food came out, but we had to wait a further 10 minutes till my mates dishes came out.
I cut into my small piece of pork belly (6.5 x 6.5cm) only to find 80 percent (at most) was fat. I ordered pork belly but ended up with pork lard! None of my mates had anything good to say about their dishes, we were left feeling hungry and ripped off. Best experience of the year so far! Oh! and the restaurant was empty, now I know why!

I went there on a quiet Tuesday night, expecting a restaurant, but it was average pub grub at best. The beers are amazing, and I would go back on a night out in a heartbeat. The spot and vibe is awesome, right on the water.
As for the food and service, well below par. It took 45 minutes for out entrees to come out, and the 2 waitresses were much more interested in their conversation than clearing our plates, which sat in front of us until the mains arrived a full hour after we finished our entrees. When we got the mains, they were almost cold. Very disappointing after a long wait and half a dozen pints. A poor restaurant, but a great pub.
