Beautiful ambience attracted us to this restaurant, but took a long time for entree to appear only to find it was cold and awful. Thought it was just a slight hiccup until main meal appeared again cold pork and cold salmon with soggy crackling on pork and sea water taste in salmon. Do not recommend, we tried to let staff know but they didn't care. Don't bother wasting your money here.

Went last night for dinner with my mum. We found the restaurant pretty much like a shipping container. It was cold, silent (no music!) and very much lacking any atmosphere. There are no decorations and the wall we sat against was grubby and needed a paint.

The taste of the food was ok but it was cold. We ordered the Massaman curry and the inside of the potato was fridge cold. The taste, however, of the two dishes that we ordered was pretty nice but nothing special. Also wanted to mention we ordered a serving of curry puffs to share for entree and when they were placed on the table we were astounded to see only two! Apart from the above, the service was quite good, but won't be going back.

On Sun 8 May had a wonderful mothers' day banquet menu - thoroughly enjoyed all courses provided - recommend this restaurant - have always enjoyed it.

Great atmosphere, quite good value for money esp when dining in, huge portions, very fast for takeaway never a long wait and the food always tastes fresh and yummy. Quite unexpected for the Shire.

Great Thai food from this restaurant. I would compare it well with the better Thai restaurants in Newtown. I also prefer it over the Thai restaurants in Gymea. The Pad Thai is excellent and the Massaman Beef is, slow cooked and full of flavour.

The prices are in line with what seems to be take away prices these days which is a couple more dollars than I would prefer to pay. Perhaps, a discount for take away is in order. But saying that I would rather pay for a reliably nice meal than the same amount for something inedible. I will continue to go back here as my preferred local Thai restaurant.

On Sunday 17 January 4 of us visited Khaogang Thai for the first time. We shared entrees of spring rolls, curry puffs, satay chicken and fish cakes which were all very tasty. Our mains shared were pad thai with chicken and stir fried prawns and oyster sauce. These were all excellent choices and were thoroughly enjoyed. Serves were a good size and plenty to share. We intend to return and try more dishes. Excellent, keep up the good work.

Great food, ample sized portions, very friendly service, impressive decor. Finally a quality Thai venue in Kirrawee! It's a bit cheaper than Thai Tiger in Janalli as the portions are slightly smaller, however, one main + entree each was still more than enough for us and we were still able to get a doggybag. We've been twice now, and will definitely return soon.

A new favourite for myself as well as many friends and family that I have recommended the restaurant to. Very authentic food and great serving sizes and value for money. Service is very friendly and prompt! Recommend booking if you are going for dinner on Friday/Saturday night as it does get busy!
