This is quite possibly the worst Indian restaurant that we have ever encountered. It is a bad sign when one enters a restaurant at peak dining time on a friday evening when restaurants are generally extremely busy only to find few tables occupied.

First disappointment was the mint yoghurt which was already on the table pre-set. It was very watery. Second problem was the mixed platter for 2 that was listed on the specials board outside. It was the same item as listed on the normal menu and it was not a special as the price was the same. Very strange. We ordered the mixed platter for 2 which was okay but smaller than that served at other Indian outlets. The watery mint yoghurt detracted from the taste instead of enhancing it.

A great pity. Things could only get worse. The tandoori chicken had no bite to it like tandoori food should have. The Handi Gosht lamb was also very bland and lacked any spice and taste. The lamb was, however, tender. Next we had my favourite Indian curry, Saag chicken. The dish also had no taste and was Extremely oily, so much in fact that we had to remove much of the oil before eating the bland dish.

Service was prompt (there were not many diners) and the servings were large but truly the most tasteless Indian food in Sydney. Do they have a chef in the kitchen or just a kitchenhand cooking the food? Certainly whoever cooked our food was Not a chef. We were given the bill before we had even requested it. They must have sensed that we did not enjoy the food. Never, absolutely never again.

The only redeeming feature of this restaurant is that the food is reasonably tasty. Having said that, it is very oily and light on meat.

While the food borders on edible, the service is overbearing yet horrendously slow and unapologetically so. We have given this place five chances because there are not too many other Indian options in this area. All of the home deliveries have taken more than one hour to arrive and on one occasion, one of the dishes was missing, for which they blamed us.

Tonight, the food was delivered after two hours, even though they said it would take 20 minutes. We called them three times and they made various excuses. Finally when the food did arrive, it was delivered by a taxi driver who called us to go down stairs to take it from him!

The time we ate in, we were repeatedly bothered by the overly-friendly wait staff who were presumably just trying to compensate for the one and a half hours it took for the first course to be delivered. This place takes too long to deliver food that is just Ok but very expensive. Go elsewhere.

Friendly, fast, efficient service. Plates were pre-warmed for the main. Well-planned menu and attention to detail in the dishes made for a stand-out meal. Melt-in-your mouth chicken and lamb dishes. Highly recommended.
