One of the worst restaurants I had the misfortune of eating in. The curried eggplant was a non descript bowl of goo. Beef vindaloo was truly horrible, with a sickly sour taste. Garlic naan was soggy and used canned garlic straight out of Woolies. Portions were stingy and the final insult was finding out the garlic naan was $5 each Piece. How can a place like this survive?

The food here is loaded with Msg. Didn't get to sleep until 5 am. Not very special food either, and the atmosphere is non existent.

Picked up from store as they weren't delivering that night half filled containers and I promise they were leftovers put in containers and microwaved when you arrived to pick up. The beef rendang was so tough it was probably braised for 10 minutes and had to personally cook with an extra hour to break down the meat. Other than a vegetarian dish the rest had to be thrown out and, they were truly disgusting.

Went there with my partner a few months ago and have been meaning to write a review for ages. Food is good but boy the service seriously lets this place down. I felt sorry for the young guy on the register and trying to serve food but you can see down the back, there's only 1 cook serving. We waited 1 hour for our lunch meal. It honestly doesn't do itself any favors!

My wife and I tried this place earlier tonight. We got there at 8:30 pm and only a few tables were occupied. Several of the tables were still covered in dirty dishes/food and one was cleaned for us so we could sit. We waited 10 minutes for menus, our order was taken another 10 minutes later. We sat there for almost 40 minutes when our waiter came back to "confirm our order" and then informed us that one of the dishes we'd ordered was not available. At this point it was 9:30 pm and we walked out.

No idea if their food is any good, but their service is terrible. As we left the tables that hadn't been cleared when we arrived still hadn't been touched.

Not very impressed by this one. Quality was lacking in every dish, looked like everything was plated up half-heartedly. Compared to the other Kammadhenu on King St, Newtown, this one falls below average.

Don't waste your time at this restaurant. From start to finish it won't leave a memorable moment. Service and experience very poor. Instead try Deli 'O' Delhi in Newtown. Complete opposite in everything and 9 out of 10. We won't be back to Kammadhenu, Newtown ever!

Definitely my favourite place for dinner on the weekend (some time weekdays). Just love the dosai for the starter with mushroom cheese onion and tomatoes with red and green dips..yummmmmm.....goat saag for main yummmm one of the best curry I ever had in my life. I'd have to say that this place serves some of the more authentic style of south Indian and srilankan food in Sydney.

Food is always awesome and good value for money and most importantly, the meat quality is good. Best thing about this restaurant is the service, just 3 people on weekends (not enough staff) doing really good job, they were all friendly and very quick, interior is quite confusing Pink toilet...(".")....back again and always, recommend for enjoyable dining.
