My husband and I went to Kables for our wedding anniversary. With the entertainment card discount and free parking on site, the value is quite good, and the food was superb. My only complaint is that they charged us for tap water, I was quite surprised as I have never been charged for tap water before.

The food and service are very good. The restaurant is situated on the first floor and open to the foyer in the atrium of the hotel, and can be a little noisy. The only negative is the wine list, which is very good and even allowing for it being in a 5 star hotel, 200% -300% markup on many of the wines is excessive. Worth a visit.

It had been many years since I had eaten at this restaurant, and am pleased that it is still a very enjoyable experience. Always glad when rock oysters are served, in preference to the pacific variety.

Food was very good, the service exceptional and wine prices weren't overly marked up for a restaurant of this standard. The nature of the seating and exposure to the atrium didn't contribute a lot to the ambience, although it was still pleasant. I look forward to returning.

My boyfriend and I came here the other night. It was a delight to have the seared scallops to share, pan-fried snapper, and the pasture-fed tenderloin with french fries and truffle aioli sauce.

Great service throughout the evening. We were even offered some more starter bread whilst waiting for our entree which didn't take too long to be served. Only thing I wish was for the bread to be warm and not served cold. The olive oil to dip with was nice though.

Will definitely be back for more.

Sensational food, service and ambience! We had some seafood dishes and all had high quality fresh seafood with delicate accompaniments. The service was speedy and just a breath of fresh air compared to the attitude of waitstaff in other restaurants I've frequented of late, nothing was too much trouble and they also gave great recommendations about the dishes.

Prices were as expected, averaging about $30 for a main course. Had a delicious Creme Brulee for dessert which topped offf the beautiful experience. Highly recommend!

I came here on Christmas day last year for dinner. My partner and I shared the Organic vegetable salad which was really fresh and somewhat invigorating. Each time I had a bite I was boosted with energy. For my main I chose the Pan fried snapper, ragout of seafood. I thought the fish was so tender and the balance of flavours with the seafood made it surprisingly special. My partner had the wagyu which he was raving on about too.

I thought the set up of the tables were great. Seems like the majority of the tables have a side to themselves (a wall or next to the void) which makes it slightly more intimate.

The service was great (for us), but we noticed towards the end of the night when it got busier other tables seemed to be getting the wrong orders. It took us a while to get the bill at the end of the night, even after paying it a waitress came up to our table to give us mains. Obviously this was not ours.

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday which was on new years and it was the best dining I've had in a while. Had a booking at 7pm and from the moment we got there, the service was amazing. Meets the standard of fine dining as the staff are very polite and prompt. I had the salmon for entree than wagyu steak for main and my boyfriend had the scallops for entree and the barramundi for main.

The food came out surprisingly quick and it was very delicious and just the perfect amount that left us satisfied and content with the food. Yes it may be a bit pricey but it is definitely worth it as the food is very good quality. We then had dessert which was also very tasty. Great atmosphere too.

Booked a Saturday lunch. Excellent service and very high quality food. Good value for a premium level restaurant. All in all a great oasis to dine and relax in the middle of one of the busiest tourist areas of Sydney.

The service was ok. The restaurant was less than 1/3 full and we were placed right next to the door.

The service was friendly and efficient. The staff was courteous and attentive.
The lights could have been a little dimmer for atmosphere. Unfortunately, there was a table that was displayed as a centre piece that lit up the entire room.

The food was nice, and I have nothing to complain about, but I would not call it fine dining as it was listed as. The menu was satisfactory, and there was a nice selection of dishes to create your own 4 - 15 course meal. 4 - 5 course meal will cost you approx $100. There is valet parking available, otherwise, a little way down, there is a Wilson carpark at $20 per night. It had a very distinct "restaurant attached to a hotel" feel, when I thought that it should not have.

Overall I would not complain if friends/family brought me back there, but I would not go back there on my own accord. Just heard that they will be closing on 01/10/2011.

    Response from Management:
    Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for your feedback about Kable's, it's always great to hear from our guests about their experience and we will certainly take your comments on board.

Contrary to what you may have heard, the restaurant will not be closing on October 1st, we are actually going to be changing the menu concept to something new and exciting.

We would love to invite you back to try this re-vamped experience once the new menu has been implemented and would welcome any additional feedback you may have in the future.

    Yours sincerely,

    Kable's management.

What a great place for high tea. It's everything a 5 star hotel should strive for. We were treated so well. The food was spectacular as was the chai latte I ordered. Plenty of food with a great range. Big comfy chairs made you feel so relaxed in a relatively intimate space. Was pleased with the whole experience. I really recommend it if you're trying to impress or for a special occasion.
