I used to come here alot, but I am not going back anymore. I will be telling this to the rest of my friends who frequent this restaurant as well.

The service was terrible and slow. Firstly, I ordered green tea for the table, out came one cup of green tea. After wasted ten minutes waving to finally get the attention of a waitress, I said I would like green tea for 'everyone' i.e. in a pot. Then they came us 5 individual cups of green tea, which I suspect they were going to charge me $3.50 each. I had to get the menu to point "1 Pot of green tea" to make them finally understand what I meant.

We finally got our pot, then we discovered they gave us green tea made with powder, and when we asked for refill, they said they will give us hot water Only, no refill of green tea. This is just cheap for a restaurant that charges that price.

We ordered some entrees which came pretty quickly, then sat for 30 minutes waiting for our sukiyaki. FYI there is No cooking involve in sukiyaki, its japanese hotpot where they give you a plate of beef and veggies and you cook yourself. We got abit hungry so we ordered a few more dishes. They told us one dish may take 20 minutes, we said fine.

What we didn't know was, they hold All the rest of the remaining dishes until that One dish is ready before serving the rest, so we basically waited for almost an hour for nothing. What a poor serving management and is just plain stupid.

The restaurant was noisy. I understand it is a karaoke, it wasn't the singing. It was the constant shouting between the waiters/waitresses over our table, and running around us. The heavy footsteps and rushing made the entire time very tensed and stressful. We just couldn't wait to get out of the restaurant.

The food was Ok, I love the sukiyaki but I guess there are plenty of japanese restaurants who can do better than this. Not going back anymore.

Three of us went to Ju Ju's just recently. We used to go to this place a lot but it has really gone downhill. They use to have authentic Japanese tap beers available (Asahi and Sapporo from memory) but they seemed to have disappeared with the service. Sad.

Went in on a Friday night to check out the place for potential party. Venue itself is fine, food is average and considering the price is probably overpriced for the quality. Service is dreadful though, very slow. Would not return, even for Karaoke only.

Where do I begin? Juju's used to be good but tonight (Sunday) I had the most disgusting meal I've had in a long time. To be as brief as I can (as I need to go puke after writing this):

    1. The vegetable tempura was soggy, and the batter (if you can call it that) was peeling off the vegetables like a bad sunburn in a shower. I've had bad tempura where they over-batter, but this was something else.
    2. The takoyaki gratin (octopus balls with melted cheese) = eating a combination of plastic and rubber.
    3. Waited 40+ minutes for the shabu shabu (this is a meal you cook yourself - they are just meant to bring the raw ingredients and the heater to your table).
    4. The raw beef for the shabu shabu was overly thick (4mm+ when it should be about 1mm!), without flavour, and had the consistency of rubber. It was rubber night tonight.
    5. The tofu for the shabu shabu was sour.
    6. The rice was stale.
    7. The sesame dipping sauce (known as "goma") had the consistency of mouthwash when it should be creamy. And it was sour? How do you manage that? Did you mix your goma with your ponzu sauce?
    8. The burner took ages to boil and was incredibly heat-inefficient. We had plenty of time to wait for the water to boil and ponder what a disgusting meal this was becoming. I could probably have cooked the raw beef more quickly by breathing on it.
    9. Really bad music was playing in the background - the type that makes it really hard to swallow without choking. Yes, that bad. I know music is subjective, but this was incessant whiny folk-rock with no tune, just angst, that was stuck on repeat and made me want to thrust my head into the soup and boil my face off (except that the soup wasn't hot enough).

In conclusion, this was one of the most atrocious meals that I have had. It's very sad, this place used to be good. What a rude shock.

I've been to Ju Ju's a couple times and our last visit was horrible though! Waited for 30 - 40 minutes for the first meal to come out and the service was really slow. On the positive side, the Karaage Chicken was nice. In overall, if only they improve the service-side the whole atmosphere will not turn to negative experience!

Have been to jujus quite a few times and have always loved it. Our last visit was horrible though! Waited for 45mins for 8 pieces of sushi and when my partners main came out he was almost finished by the time mine arrived 20mins later. Will not be going back again. Considering we have always been on a Friday or Saturday night, we were there mid week and it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Very disappointed.

So cute! Love heading places that are a bit different, getting to sit at sunken tables is fun and sometimes they do karaoke! The food is good, not the best but it is made-up for with lovely staff and great atmosphere.

This venue is the most appalling excuse for a restaurant. Never have I experienced such an incompetent, rude and useless bunch of people running a place. We booked (well in advance) for a 40th birthday. At the last minute, the restaurant insisted everyone order from a $35 banquet menu because we were a large group (maybe 15 people) - not ideal, but agreed.

Some vegetarian options were requested and we were informed that vegos could order from the menu. On the night, a few guests had been unable to make it - so the manager insisted we front an extra $150 for those missing guests - WTF? This was sprung on us after waiting an hour at the table. We were still struggling to get drinks at this stage. Three or four waiters scurried round but between them, couldn't barely rustle up a can of coke.

Then things got nastier - the waiters now began demanding we pay in advance for our meals. WTF? No food had been delivered, we weren't drinking alcohol. What the hell was going on? Wanting to enjoy the night for the birthday girl's sake, we again agreed, money was paid - unhappily. Then we couldn't get vegetarian orders taken. After several more incompetent attempts by staff to explain to us what was going on, why we we being treated like this, why we had nothing to eat, why the vegetarians were not allowed to order, why the drinks weren't there and why they had just destroyed someone's birthday for no reason than their own inability to manage a table of 15 people - we were baffled.

Two hours later, starving and thirsty, we demanded our money back, paid for the drinks - which again led to a drama and saw drinks paid for twice or more, because these idiots couldn't coordinate the bills - we left. Why on Earth a manager couldn't get it together and sort this debacle out was beyond everyone at the table. We were more than willing to be flexible and pay a bit extra, but we were not prepared to be extorted, ripped off or cop unexplicable rudeness.

Probably the most incomprehensible dining experience I have ever had. Thanks for ruining a really important night, thank's for ripping us off with your overpriced drinks and most of all, thanks for demonstrating a greedy, mean spirited manner to your customers.

We went on a Wednesday night so definitely wasn't their busy period, but found the food to be amazing, fresh and brought out at good intervals. Service was quick and attentive and for a $30 set menu there was soooo much food! Absolutely loved it.
