We have been coming to JP's for quite a few years now. They have a wonderful selection on the menu, and the pastas are delicious. It's a great place to go with friends!
Great little cozy restaurant. We regulars as its a few minutes from where we live. Service is great and personalized. The wood fire pizza's are consistently delicious. Mains are also pretty good. The only complaint is the garden salad (its not fresh and way to pricey!).
I think this place is fantastic. I've been here at least 6 times now and whilst it may not be the best italian food around it certainly makes up for it with great atmosphere and plenty of choices on the menu. Besides the standard printed menu you have at least 5-6 blackboards of specials to choose from. The woodfired pizzas are great as is their pastas. Haven't yet tried their meat dishes but will do so in near future. Service can be a bit slow but mainly because of 1 waiter out the back most of the time. It's got a nice enough vibe for the wait tho.
Dined at da bruno Jp's for the first time last saturday with my family, we all shared pizzas, my favourite being king prawns sun dried tomatos and ricotta cheese- YUMMY! Service was absoluty fanstastic, though at times were a bit under pressure as they were very busy. You must make a booking on friday and saturday. This is my favourite Italian restaurant and I strongly recommend you go there.
Must have been something to do with Friday the 13th. Place was packed but we scored a table in the front. I've lauded much praise on JP's in the past but this visit was a real disappointment. I had grilled occi at $28 - (ouch) and my lady the spaghetti marinara at $14-. Neither of us finished our meals. The occi was rubbery and tasteless, and the marina was dry and stodgy. A lite beer, a cruiser and garlic bread = $65-. This place is starting to loose it.
Excellent!! I went to J.P's on Saturday, 19 Aug 2006 with 8 teen's to celebrate my son's birthday. Pizza's were amazing and Theos bottle shop is just across the road. Theos closes 9pm sat and 6pm sun but wine range was great. JP's is BYO. Got out with a $99 bill and 8 well fed teen boys. Very comfy and family environment.
