Come for the food. Simply excellent value and quality for the price. Fateh Hummus bil Labneh and the mixed plate are good choices for 1st timers. The toum and baba ganoush are lovely.
Great garlic dip, and interesting pickles along with succulent morsels of lamb. They taste so much better sitting under mock Sistine Chapel and next to stucco walls! This has to be the funkiest Lebanese cafe I have ever visited. Too bad it is so popular we felt rushed with queue at the door.
A friend and I went to this restaurant based on reviews below and wasn't disappointed. The flavours were clean and crisp and the serving sizes were generous. It's the best Lebanese food I've tasted. There were a few rustic homestyle dishes that I've never seen at lebanese restaurants before. When I saw them being served that I wished I had ordered them instead, maybe next time.
It's a family run restaurant and the decor is a bit kitsch-y, but not too over the top (just). Hah!
I have been coming to this restaurant for a few years now and nothing much has changed. It isn't a fancy place, the decor leaves much to be desired and is a little on the tacky side. It is really a glorified take out.
Average cost of a meal is about $15 including drinks. The proitions are sufficiently large (although recently they have gotten a lot smaller) and it's best to share. The food quality does tend to vary a little depending on when you go, if you are there near closing time the meat can be a tad dry.
But for the price you pay its definitely a fantastic place to eat. I have tried the pricier lebanese restaurants in Surry Hills and the food definitely compares well.
More kitsch cafe than restaurant, Jasmin's offers friendly, courteous staff, some of the better Lebanese food I have eaten, even compared to Cleveland St and Bankstown, and remarkable value. Excellent garlic sauce! Fun place for the family.
One of the best lebanese restaurants I have been to, their food is so fresh and the falafels are out of this world. This place is authentic and delicious its a must on any good culinary adventure.
Wouldn't call this a restaurant. More a take away with eat in. Food was ok but have had alot better. Good value I guess but wouldn't go out of my way to visit.
The best Lebanese food without question. Go for the mixed plates (amazing value) and be prepared to wait a little if you're not early. Then take a walk up the street to the Lebanese grocery stores, incredible produce.
We travel from Bondi in order to eat great quality lebanese food. Service is excellent, food is amazing every time. I have tried other lebanese places closer to home and absolutely nothing compares! well worth the mission to Lakemba! wish they would open one up in Bondi!
