The Jade Palace is an absolute gem. The food is absolutely wonderful, each dish is cooked fresh on the spot. We have been going since the Restaurant was in St. Ives and have to say the food is as good as you'd get anywhere, it keeps us coming back that's for sure. The owners are delightful and ever keen to please. Thanks Loui and Grace.

I have been to the Jade Palace more than 20 times and have found the food to be of the best quality I have ever had time and time again. I moved to the Central Coast from Sydney 5 years ago but still travel down the highway to the Jade Palace and no other place I have tried has come close to the food here.

Our group dined here a couple of weeks ago. Sadly we were the only customers, apart from a couple of takeaways. Locals please note, the food in this place is some of the freshest and tastiest you'll find anywhere! Nothing was too much trouble and every dish was delicious. Ok, it's probably more western than "real" Chinese food, but at a guess Pymble isn't exactly an Asian neighbourhood.

Nevertheless, we had a great night, and the meal was certainly as good as any we have had in Eastwood, or other predominantly Asian areas. The staff are friendly, the prices very reasonable, and the selection of dishes on offer was brilliant.

Food always cooked fresh for you. Friendly staff. This restaurant used to be in St Ives. We've been going there on and off for years.

We ended up here after looking for them in St Ives only to find they had moved three months earlier. The decor is pretty basic and uninspiring but the food is good and very reasonable. Started with steamed gow gee and fried pork buns, then special Picnic Chicken, Crispy Duck and Pork Peking Style and a plate of mixed chinese veges.

They made an error and served Crispy Skin Chicken but apologised and quickly replaced it with the correct Duck. Otherwise all the food was very tasty. And for two entrees, three mains and a veg dish, one dessert, two soft drinks and one corkage for $77.50 it was very good value.

Update 16/1/2011:

The concept of trying to provide a modern menu was all in vain as Jade Palace now offers an expanded menu containing all the usual suspects only. I guess financial reality hit. Nevertheless one cannot argue that this means that the restaurant is now pleasing more families so who am I to say which menu is better? Anyway its a good local dining place, spotlessly clean and the owners are always a delight. Its a great place for a quick takeaway or catch up with your mates.

This is a new restaurant in West Pymble and is located at the West Gordon Shops near the German Bakery. They have renovated the restaurant tastefully and for children there is the added interest of a lovely aquarium which houses some beautiful and fascinating ornamental fish.

The menu is quite different from what I was expecting. It includes cuisine inspired from China, Thailand and Japan. We selected a Thai influenced Duck Hot Pot. This was a spicy dish and the duck was cooked really well and was succulent. The other main was Hoi Sin Beef which had a lovely texture although I think the dish would have been better if it was accompanied with some green Chinese vegetables.

A friend who was dining at another table mentioned that her Coriander Prawn dish was very good. We ate our mains with an enjoyable large sized Chicken Fried Rice which could have been a main in its own right. For dessert we had apple rolls and ice cream and a pear pancake with ice cream. These were both very nice.

For tea we had a red lychee variety, which was nice, hot and fruity. It was served in a lovely and generously sized tea-pot. Justin our waiter is doing a great job, offering a nice welcoming ambience to the place.
