Jabar does the best Indian food, nicely decorated place with the lighting just right. Waitresses are not too over the top but nice - for example rather than hitting you with the rice per person, our waitress suggested our table of four would be satisfied with rice for two. Also icecream afterwards for free was very nice.
Jabar, the bloke from Punjab, is not the best known to maintain a clean place. However, the food (forget the cleanliness) is about average. Not good for a second visit.
Has to be the best Indian Restaurant in Sydney, great value and huge portions. The food is cooked to perfection with your typical Indian decor which is a change from the plastic surroundings we have to suffer these days.
We have been going to Jabar's for over a year on a regular basis. Food is consistently good and cheap. Staff are nice and friendly, and ambience great. We will continue to enjoy Jabar's delicious cooking at least once or twice a month and would recommend it highly.
Food was OK, but dirty glasses, dirty dishes which we had to dust prior to eating from, sticky (as in dirty) floor, did not inspire confidence in what was going on in the kitchen.
