I regularly go to Iron Bark and am rarely disappointed! The service is always excellent and the value for money is great as its really good quality food. The covered outdoor area has a very nice atmosphere and there is a great menu full of delightful Italian cuisine. All in all, I think Iron Bark is excellent, particularly for a tasty, filling family meal out.

When ever I am in Sydney I always try to eat at Ironbark. Have eaten Pizza all round the world and consider them the best.

Turned up on a busy Saturday night with no booking but they were very kind and squeezed us in up the back, the place felt cosy, service was good and pretty quick considering how busy the place was. Food was good too!

Ironbark has some really good pizzas, with the bonus of a full gluten free pizza menu. Pasta and salads are also tasty and the place has a nice little local atmosphere. This is good local Italian style dining, nothing super fantastic but worth a visit, and nice that it's out of the hustle and bustle of Manly.

This restaurant has a great range on pizza and pasta, some being quite traditional dishes which is nice to see. Simplicity can sometimes be best.

We thought the food here was just delicious. Everything reeked freshness and good quality ingredients. You can tell lot about a place by the attention it gives its salads and what we sampled looked and tasted great. Their gluten free pizza was really excellent too, will definitely be back without any hesitation. Well done for doing the simple stuff well.

Had put off going here for a long time and it doesn't have a very high overall rating but I cannot be as critical as many are. We went here on a Thursday night and place was maybe one third full. Certainly was not lit up to 'burning retinas' extreme as described by some. It was well lit but not disturbingly so. I am not a fan of places where you need a torch to read the menu by anyway.
The decor was pleasant and it really felt as if we were eating in a restaurant and not just a dine in/takeaway bar, which is what so many pizza places seem like. The service was swift and friendly. Orders were taken quickly and an ice bucket was offered for my wine. We started with a bocconcini salad and some dips, which were both very pleasant.
My son was a little surprised to see no traditional pizzas on the menu, as all fall into the gourmet range but I found them very tempting and settled on a Bufala, from their specials, a mix of buffalo mozzarella, fresh tomato, rocket and prosciutto. It was quite sloppy in the middle, but with a lot of fresh tomato I don't blame them much. My wife had the Ironbark and my son settled on the ravioli. There were no long waits and we were well tended to by the staff.
It may be very slightly dearer than some places but I think that's okay because they do none of the 'ham & pineapple" type pizzas and with the decor and service you receive you know you are at a real restaurant.

Probably the worst pizza I have ever eaten. It was tasteless, floppy and lacked flavour big time. I would give it 1 or 2 out of 10. Owners listen, if you want to stay in business, you better get your act together and quick because your food and the cost of such rubbish was diabolical. My wife had pasta and she gave it 3 out of 10 also.
The ambience was real bad. Bright lights, heaters that were like sitting in the sun on a hot day and you were in the entertainment book with a recommendation of a winner. Must have been previous owners. If you want to taste a very good pizza and we mean good Try somewhere else at Roseville. Sorry folks but thats the way it is.

We were underwhelmed when we went there on a Friday night.
The food: pizza's were pretty average to middling, and generally lacked flavour. Their signature Ironbark pizza really didn't do it for us, having a lack of flavour all round. The kids had a ham and pineapple and a tandoori chicken pizza, both of these were average at best, and pricey too for kids meals. The risotto, on special, was similarly underwhelming, the individual components tasted precooked, and the leeks were undercooked and unpleasantly crunchy.
As for the chocolate pudding dessert: the less said the better. Definitely wouldn't stand a chance if this was ever served in Italy, tasted like it came out of a packet, and the icecream out of a blue plastic container bought by the litre.
Service was so-so. Atmosphere: the bright lights focused straight into my eyes suggested a South American dictatorship interrogation room, great if you like that sort of thing, but sorry guys, not for us. It's hard to achieve a decent atmosphere with bright lights burning retinas.
Price: for what you got, it cost too much, but then we're not sure what would have been reasonable for an unsatisfactory experience all round.
