Was attracted by the menu and undoubtedly cheap price. However, the saying "you get what you pay for rings true". Naans were obviously from stale dough and probably not even in a tandoori oven. The greasy masala dosa contained No masala but instead dollops of potato mash. The chicken dosa contained a close resemblance to minced dog food. Grease grease and more grease. Should you decide to eat here, please have a Close look at the food on display Before ordering.
There was also an item missing from the order. Although we weren't charged for this, what good is ordering 3 naans when the curry is missing?

Every time we order some take away there is always something missing and when we call back , it is adjusted in the next take away. However this time when we informed the lady she refused to even acknowledge that something was missing, strange though. The reason for us to go back there is no doubt the food is good. But this should certainly be avoided as it is not possible to open and check every packet what is missing .

This would have to be one of the best meals I have had in a long time. It is clear they care about their food and the price so cheap I could not believe it. 10 out of 10. If you like spicy food you have to try this place.

I go to Indo Lankan Bar often and it always has delicious sri-lankan and indian food. Service can be poor at times but food always arrives hot and fresh. The restaurant itself is pretty basic and no frills. Dosas and the crumbed lamb rolls, are favourites with us. Definitely a place for fans of authentic indian food.

This is a very low key, no frills place with top-notch dosas. We also like the pistachio kulfi and faluda. Some of the other dishes can be quite hit and miss.

We have had take away from here many times now and coming from England I have to say that good Indian food in Australia is hard to find but this is an exception.
So far we have had the chicken curry (on and off the bone), prawn vindaloo and the beef vindaloo and they have all been delicious. Their lamb samosas are not to be sniffed at either. All good value and would recommend to anyone who genuinely likes Indian food. Not for the buffheads who like their butter chicken (is that really curry anyway?).

My little bad experience. I fed my friends String Hoppers bought from Indo Lanka Seven Hills my friends had string hoppers while I had rice, and at the end I started having some string hoppers and it was the worst String Hoppers ever. Uncooked, raw. It was sticky and smelly. I am ashamed and embarrassed. Doesn't matter the value, as long as they are quality and edible.

I had dined here recently with a group of friends, some of us had experience with the cuisine, and some were complete beginners. After entering this place (through a side door from the main counter) you feel a little more relieved by the extra space. Tables are widely spaced apart so you don't hear conversational noise, unless they've got small children of course, which was the case.
The food (as the name alludes) is a mix of indian and sri lankan cuisine, favouring indian more heavily. The men,u therefore, have a decent variety, but I would say it appealed more to the beginners as the food tended to be very stereo-typical dishes, which are more appropriate as "introduction to indian" food. The masala dosa's with the sambar were probably the best thing I tried, however, the biryani served was a miniscule mound of yellow dyed rice, nothing mixed into it all, beside it was a small piece (10 cm?) of orange dyed chicken (tandoori I believe is what they tried to imitate here) and a soft boiled egg, this was a joke, to anyone who knows what biryani is!
Our drinks order (taken first) was the last thing to arrive, 30 mins into our meal, with no apologies or explanation. Then we got two more drinks put on our table which werent ordered for and asked to be sent back. When it (finally) came time for dessert, I wasnt brave enough to order anything based on the condition of the front counter sweets, but the kulfee tried by a friend was grainy and pistachio flavoring was too strong. This flaw was encountered after the first 3 things we tried to order were apparently unavailable that night. This is a major problem; you do not allow your patrons to select something off the menu, only to reveal to them after they have made their selection that tonight your chef's havent prepared it!!
Once we had finished our meals & were talking with the un-eaten desert still in front of us, as we were one of two remaining tables, the lights were being turned off selectively, in another classy attempt at customer service. I would say dont bother going to this place, but its fairly redundant.

Thankfully I work near to this restaurant and typically eat here 2-3 times a week. The dosai are as good as anywhere in Sydney at half the price. All of the curries I have tried are genuinely authentic with rich, roasted spices blended well to give mountains of flavour to each dish. The crab curry and devilled chicken both at under $10 are two of my favourites.
Fresh naan to soak up the sauce and (coconut) Pol Sambol are a must. My only criticism would be the laid back service but the value for money and quality of food outweighs the slow service. Definitely worth a try. Enjoy.
