This is our favourite neighbourhood restaurant we live in Killara nearby. We are very fussy about Indian food and this is definitely the best we have tried in Sydney. The service is wonderful and they are very accommodating. The Vindaloo, lamb with spinach and benghali fish curry are the best! Their paratha is very good also.

We went to the Indigo last night to give it a try as it is in the Entertainment book. The food was disappointing - bland, uninspiring. Tandoori lamb chops - fatty and stringy, flavour unmemorable. Butter chicken - not bad, but nothing special to it. We also tried Pista Chicken - the flavour of the sauce was rather bland. Their service was on a slow side, even though the restaurant was not full.

Very nice Indian restaurant, the food was flavorsome and of a good standard. The restaurant is nicely appointed making the best of its position which is nothing to write home about, but it is reasonably quiet and makes for an intimate dinner. It is not the best Indian I have every had but it is good and I would definitely go back again to try more of their menu.

Went to this restaurant last Saturday 4/6/11 and were not disappointed. The food was great with the Sesame Crusted Prawns a standout. We have been there several times over the past decade. The food certainly isn't your average curry house type of Indian and the menu changes regularly which always makes it worth another visit.

Food was Ok, if not somewhat bland for Indian, however, what is now remembered from the dining experience is a 2% surcharge for AMEX cc but not for Mastercard. Then paid the exact amount, the rounding up to nearest $10 would have compensated for the charge if they kept their mouth shut.

Unbelievably pleasant experience! My partner and I ordered the butter chicken and the chicken korma (two chicken dishes I know, but we like chicken) and they were brilliant. The service from the waiter was extremely attentive and when we told him how great the food was he explained how a lot of Indian restaurants here in Australia use far too much sugar in their cooking. Definitely coming back again!

I've dined here several times in the past month or two, I came with my partner initially through the Entertainment Book program, and had a fantastic experience and each time since has been equally impressive.

The food is sensational. Entree's were terrific, particularly the sesame crusted prawns - crunchy and spicy, with the sweetness of the large prawns really coming through. The dosa, too, is beautiful, nice and crispy. The curries are really nice, with a good balance of flavours, the Eggplant dish is the best I've had, and the Butter Chicken pleasantly surprised us, full of flavour and very different to what you usually get!

Special mention to the desserts, we spoke to the owner, who described the process behind making the 'kulfi' - Indian style ice cream. The service was really good, the owner seemed to be sometimes in the front, and other times helping out in the kitchen, and would greet people, which was a nice touch, and the wait staff were very attentive, and polite.

In particular the owner's son was very interesting to talk to about the food and Indian culture, and added to the night, and certainly made the whole thing a bit more of an experience.

All in all, we have grown to love this place, and will be back regularly, I would definitely recommend it, the food is exceptional, and service fast and efficient.

Dined here last weekend. The restaurant offers something different to your usual Indian fare. I had the $25 seafood special which included calamari, prawns, barramundi and more. The meal was quite tasty, but a little cold. For the price I did not think it was good value. Dining with 5 people and the bill came to over $150 which was a bit of a shock and we didn't even bother with an entree, only naans.Service is good. The owner is there to greet you warmly and a young man who I presume is his son is very polite and helpful.

The restaurant is very noisy, so not so good for a quiet night out. The only thing that I didn't like was that rice was too expensive, $12.50 for two bowls of rice (which are not very large) is too much. Every other restaurant I have dined in it has been unlimited rice for about $6. Overall it's not a bad restaurant, and if you want to try something different to the norm then check it out. The prices mean that I will not be a regular as they are too much for what you get, but for an occasion it isn't so bad. Great service and decent ambience. Food is tasty and different.

I have dined at Indigo sometime ago so it was interesting to see if the food was on the same scale as when it first opened. Yes it was, I am happy to report! This time we had Delhi Dahi Papdl (a lovely salad with puris, bean, tamarind, potatoes and chutney - so good for a spring and summer palate especially) and a Masala Dosa for our entrees (light weight and super crispy) , a gorgeous gorgeous Goan seafood curry from the specials consisting of delectable calamari, barramundi, scallops and prawn (very fresh - the calamari soft and tasty) and a railway lamb curry ( not as soft as I prefer - but nevertheless good flavour). Very good value, especially with the Entertainment Book discount - we gave a $10 tip regardless. The modern paintings on the wall were very tasteful and the contemporary Indian music was pleasant.
