One of the Worst Service I have ever seen. They just served us which we didn't order and they insist that we did order it. Seems they are trying to serve everything what they got in the kitchen. Foods is awful. Waste of Money!
Gargi, I hear you! Cockroaches of the BIG size I saw. Well I only saw one but that’s more than enough! I had the mushrooms and they were put into batter and had the oily greens you get when you buy Chinese pork. Average at best.
The lamb dumplings, for what you pay, is quite expensive, and it’s not even dumplings, it’s meat balls, and I counted I only got 6, so that’s over $2 a meatball, the dish itself was of a small serving. At least the mango lassi had a nice strong flavour to it, the strawberry one though didn’t.
Service was ok but they had to get someone else to serve me because they didn’t understand what I was saying and the interior is quite plain but how can I recommend a place with a pest problem to anyone. Sorry but the fusion of Chinese and Indian doesn’t work here.
Really really poor and upsetting service. A restaurant that itself returns people and stop them to come back again. Food is ok, service really awful as no one cares and there is no understanding of hospitality word to any of the staff.
I am altering my review on this one having since returned. Ok, to get a meal and a rice other than plain boiled you are looking at $20.00 but the servings when you eat in are huge and realistically, at that price it is enough for two meals and if sharing could easily eat that between two (went with my boyfriend and we got two mains plus a rice and had at least half of each dish leftover and could not eat anymore). The food was fantastic, flavoursome and happy to accommodate any requests or answer any questions regarding dishes.
It is really quite good because my boyfriend who does not like Indian even enjoys eating here and there are simple Chinese meals as an alternative (honey chicken, chow mein etc) for those that want to steer clear of any Indian influence full stop while the others can enjoy a meal without complaints.
Thinking of going back here for my birthday this year. (By the way, we got the szechuan veggies - not Chinese, not Indian, in between so I guess Chinese Indian and boyfriend got chow mein and we had Fujian rice to share).
The restaurant was good. But the standard is falling down. You can see lot of cockroach in the restaurant. The quantity is less and less as the days past. I would not recommend to visit this restaurant.
Not many people come to the restaurant, so you can't get what you wanted to order. You only get that's been made sometime early. Although it's the only place in Sydney that I have come across with the taste of Indian Chinese food.
Ok if your really into your Indian Chinese food, this place is the best! Try the Chilli chicken, Gobi Manchurian and Chicken 65. I recommend take away because if you plan to dine there, you might as well take a sleeping bag with you as don't expect to be attended/served for quite a while. Staff are quite friendly but the place is way under staffed therefore the long wait but the food is amazing!
