Very good value. I went on a Tuesday for my anniversary, and they had a promotion for lobster. The oyster and prawns are fresh and you can eat as much as you want. The hot food was average but the dessert was to die for. I had a bit of everything and my favourite was the bread pudding and tiramisu.

Have been a few times for the seafood buffet mid week. It is great value for $45, all the prawns and oysters you can muster. Also other dishes, salads and desserts are very good. Quality is reasonable for the price. You will get basic bistro oysters, no AA rated ones here. Don't bother with the wine buffet, unless you have no taste! The winelist by the glass is much better and has a few very good drops, including a top Napa Cab Sav. Good service.

The much hyped lobster and crab claws were frozen, bland and watery. The prawns were mid sized and tasted like imported vannamei prawns. The tiramisu was in 2L glass containers, instead of small dainty bite size portions. Can you imagine tiramisu being ladled onto a plate? The result was that one's dessert plate resembled a dog's breakfast, and the remaining tiramisu in the glass container resembled road kill. This is my imagination, you may conjure up something different.

There was an abundance of bread. Garlic breads were presented to all tables in a basket, as if it was a delicacy and every table should get a taste. This was not fine dining, this was equivalent to a RSL bistro. Certainly not worth $100 pp. Disappointed, to say the least.

Went with some friends on Saturday night for the De Luxe Seafood Buffet at $100 each and I did not expect frozen lobster which was tasteless and generally bland food. The service left a lot to be desired and the waitress did not explain about the wine buffet until after we ordered a bottle of wine. We had to ask several times for the waste bowl to be emptied and water was a major issue to procure. If this is 4 - 5 star dining then Sydney should be worried. Never again and not to be recommended to friends.

I highly recommend this place. Went to the seafood buffet on a Thursday night before a show at the Opera House and had the mid-week $49 special. The variety was fantastic and seafood was incredibly fresh and included oysters and smoked salmon. However, the ultimate satisfaction was the dessert table, there must've been over 20 types of dessert, the mud cake was so so so good. There was a singer/piano player in the foyer one floor below the restaurant which added a nice touch to the ambience.

Service could be improved, staff were generally polite but could've filled up water more often. Also not much of a view, was staring at wooden blinds and office buildings from where we were seated. Otherwise, it was fantastic!

We went on a Monday night for their mid-week version of the seafood buffet ($45, with oysters and prawns, but not lobsters). Were extremely impress with the freshness of the seafood. I have always found that the hot dishes at a seafood buffet to be quite bland in taste, but here, they were full of flavour and cooked very well. The services was lovely and attentive. The atmosphere in the dining area was not as grand as some of the other 4/5 stars hotel but the food + the services were impressive.

Very nice dining atmosphere. Nice deco and setting in the restaurant. Not crowed or noisy at all. Table for 2 is a bit small though. Feel busy with all the tablewares.

Cold seafood was nice and fresh. Liked the lobsters (sat night) and big claws. Oysters were fresh too. The grill and stir fry bar can grill the lobster for u. Would be good if they can do oysters too, Such as kilpatrick. Loved the salmon sashimi and smoked salmon.

The hot food is rather ordinary. Only highlight was the cut to order barramundi, crumbled and grilled. Could tell it was made from fresh fish not frozen. Very delicate and flavorful.

The dessert was absolutely fantastic. From french to italian plus aussie! Although u could always expect good dessert at a 5 star hotel. The fruit salad was a bit disapponting. Would suggest them using fresh fruit platter instead.

It seemed a bit under staffed as every waiter was always occupied, given this was a buffet restaurant. However, this would be more of a management issue. Individual staff was nevertheless professional and attentive.

Over all very good night for us. Would definitely go back again.

I came for the Friday night buffet. The natural oysters, prawns and sushi were very nice. I had the mornay lobster, the meat was a bit tough but the sauce was delicious. There were oysters kilpatrick but these were burnt and inedible. We also had the chef prepare a fresh prawn stirfry, the flavours were great but he left the prawns on much too long and they became tough.

There was also some salmon in broth but this was also inedible, very dry. The chicken and pork were lovely but by the time we got to the pork there was no crackling left.

The desserts had also depleated by the time we got to them so I went to the kitchen and they made fresh creme brulees for us which were magnificent. I felt for the quality of the majority of the food it was overpriced. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and attentive.

The food is nothing short of amazing. Even the most picky eater will find it difficult to come back with an empty plate. I adore the antipasto selection, and appreciate that you can add your own sauces/dips/garnishes/dressings. The sushi selection is always astoundingly fresh, the only problem I have with it is that it disappears within seconds of presentation. The lobsters are amazing, the meat is so soft, succulent and tender. I simply cannot get enough of the oysters, presented natural.

I have to deliberately avoid the stir-fry bar as I hesitate to fill up on one dish when there are so many other selections. However, my fellow diners have always provided favourable responses to dishes from there. The bread selection is always well stocked and such an array of choices!

I absolutely love the range of butters available, there is a tomato based one that I cannot get enough of. The hot food, I will confess, is not that exciting. There is a range of pasta and meat based dishes for the patron who doesn't enjoy cold seafood, and soup and steamed rice are readily available.

As if the astounding food wasn't enough, the desserts do their utmost to outdo them. Each dessert is exquisitely presented, my personal favourites are the creme brulee and the pecan pie. On some occasions we have enjoyed sticky date pudding which is hot, fresh and decadently sweet.

Occasionally this is substituted with bread and butter pudding. Also present is a wonderful pavlova, and my dining partners have commented favourably on the lemon meringues. The service is exceptional, not once have I seen the bottom of my glass (I stick to water on these occasions) and our tables never accumulate plates.

The waitstaff are also well informed regarding the food and are willing to advise people with any dietary restrictions. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, the floor to ceiling windows add a nice touch, despite being black once the sun goes down. The lighting is adequate without being excessive.

There's one little catch: it's very pricey, at $90 a head last time I checked. Quite frankly, this is a place worth setting aside a bit of surplus money each week for.
