What a great surprise. At last a place to eat in Eastwood that is relaxing, stylish interior, friendly smiling service and quick cuisine. A loyalty card is also offered where your 10th visits rewards you with a Shoyu Ramen.

Food - great value and delicious. $10-13 Lunch Bento boxes are abundant, the best value and super yum. Cheaper than other places nearby by up to $4 a dish, and the same if not better quality in the majority of selections. Larger servings here.

Plus no added MSG! Yes! You can taste the difference. We have visited other Japanese/Korean places in the area: many have MSG and are just not as good value, and are just not as delicious. We did a test try of many other places, and Ichiraku was the winner!

$7 Seaweed salad is awesome value, large bowl, enough as a meal on its own, of lettuce greens, tomato and 2 different types of seaweed. Plus with their unique dressing. This dressing tastes sweet and slightly tangy, made of grated onions, apples and other condiments. Its addictive. No other restaurant does this awesome dressing in the area.

Lunchtime Bento box $10-13 - yum. Teriyaki Salmon and Teriyaki Chicken boxes were a big hit. A generous serve of a fillet of salmon perfectly cooked, or chunky juicy slices of chicken. Teriyaki sauce was delicious and not bitter as I had tried at another restaurant. Ichiraku's was a true clean teriyaki flavour. Awesome fresh gourmet salad - no iceberg lettuce here. Tasty Seaweed, seasoned rice, no MSG miso soup, and fresh sushi rolls. The Dinner Bento has fresh sashimi and gyoza as extra.

Ramen - fragrant broth, perfect for all the family. Not too salty.

Mains - teriyaki chicken - enough for 2 people, and so freshly cooked, clean flavours without artifical additives. Salad is generous. The best value around and most of all - tasted the best of the several other establishments we tried.

Takoyaki - generous serve, with plenty of Bonito Flakes. A big hit with all on the table, with a good balance of flavour. Not bland at all, and not too salty. Real flavours.

The Head Chef was trained by a Japanese master chef, who you can tell really loves his presentation and keeps the cuisine honest and flavoursome.

Ichiraku is just more consistently better, and their quality of food is always excellent any day, anytime of day we go with the head chef always in the kitchen.

Ichiraku restaurant was our winner in so many dishes, is relaxing, stylish, varied music from pop to jazz, has a more spacious interior, larger tables, great attentive, helpful service with food made with love.

Have gone back SO many times already. Its a regular!
Thoroughly recommended! Have introduced to young and old, and all have loved this place.

Good value, very fresh and tasty food, staff, quiet and unassuming but friendly, this place is a regular eatery for us.

My partner and I are regulars at this fantastic restaurant, the food is great, the service is bar none and the atmosphere is fantastic! BYO wine and willingness to accommodate keep us going back there again and again.

We stumbled upon this last Saturday night and we were quite happy to find a new local Japanese which served food at a reasonable price. The kids had the plain udon which was a generous size. We each had a ramen soup and we all shared a salmon and avocado salad and a soft crab roll. The salad had a lovely dressing and even the kids loved it. The crab roll was a bit too chunky, nice but it would have been better in a smaller manageable size. The gyoza on the side were loved by all.

Service was efficient and the price was very reasonable. We will be going back to try some other dishes.
