This is a Japanese fast food with pictures on the wall so you know what you're getting, the service is fast and efficient. The food is ok but quite salty. You can sit on Oxford st when the weather is good and watch the shoppers stroll by.

I come here nearly once a week now (not sick of it yet). Their service is efficient and portions are generous. Their ramen is good but I prefer their rice dishes. I love their katsu and especially their hirekatsu set. Always cooked to perfection and a lovely crunchy coat. I prefer this branch compared to their Galeries Victoria branch.

This place is an absolute gem! We have only tried a few of the different ramens as once we discovered the Tantanmen, we can't break ourselves away to try anything different. This is the absolute best ramen on the menu. It's good value for money as it's quite cheap for a really big bowl, so go hungry or be prepared to share.

Quick service. Order at the counter, take a seat and about 5-10 minutes later, your food is served. I suppose I'm not a big fan of ramen but the Wonton one was okay. Maybe it's because I had a sore throat, but I did find the soup a little too heavy. The chicken katsu don was nice though! Karage chicken different. Agedashi tofu nice also. Prob won't be wanting to have ramen again any time soon but that's just based on personal preference!

It's been a while since I've been here, and in all honesty have only been once when they used to be on Oxford street near the depot. Daddy dearest, mini me, hubs and I walked into this small little shop on a cold winters evening wanting to warm ourself with soupy goodness. We needed to find a Ramen house, and quick too.

The ramen here was superb. For $13 you could get a bowl of Ramen and Gyoza. The bowl of ramen could easily feed 2 people. If that's not value, I don't know what is. We slurped it all down. Just too good to waste.

Parking during the day is probably going to be difficult, but we rocked up at about 9pm. Different story all together. Worth the trip and excellent value for money.

My "home away from home" eatery. Go there at least once a week for the past 2 years. Staff are always friendly and helpful even with their limited English. The head chef always give you a smile to greet you even when he is busy cooking.
This place has a cult following, I see other regulars all the time. Great food, great people! Love their Ramen and Gyoza. What a gem!

Ichi Ban Boshi has the best Noodles around. I drive out of my way to go there.
I’ve travelled a lot in Japan and tried a lot of Ramen Noodles over there. They seemed to concentrate on one or two Regional specialties, I’d rarely see the breadth of choice that you get at this popular BJ haunt.

This place seems to have the best of Japan under one roof. Go for the Tanten Tsukemon and slurp it up loadly, it will taste divine. The Gyoza also rock.

Good food, fantastic value. I've been a ramen regular in Bondi Junctions Ramen Kan and I never thought that their tan tan ramen could be beaten but Ichiban Boshi gives em a run for their money. Ambience is not great, but then for these great prices its going to be a bit canteen style. Good menu too, all the regulars and some nice twists, look forward to returning soon.

Good value for money. Recession is here, so we all need to spare some dough for rainy days. The comment about MSG could be right. I did leave the place feeling thirsty. But the amount of food they give you is plenty, even for a big hungry men like me. Too much carbs but that's ok.

Food quality is so and so. I did develop cravings of noodles every now and then and I think about this place, so that's a good sign. Food was well presented and looks like they keep a clean kitchen, which is very important. Ambience was just like a take away place, nothing too fancy which is fine so that the savings can be passed onto the customers. Overall, 7 out of 10.
