I stopped by for lunch today and was very impressed with the service and the quality of food I was being served. I had a small pizza and a rocket and beetroot salad. The pizza was perfectly cooked and the hazelnut dressing on the salad was really nice to. It was sunny so it was great sitting in the back coourtyard. On the way out I had a scoop of pineapple and mint sorbet. Very refreshing and not to sweep. I will definitely be going back.

Beautiful, fresh pizzas in authentic Italian style: thin crust, lots of toppings and just cheesy enough. Perfection! You can relish and enjoy, without feeling like you are swallowing mountains of cheesy bread.

Also enjoyed a beautifully prepared beetroot salad: fresh, delicious, and once again, just enough toppings, dressings and flavour without being over-done. Gelato is pretty good. Not the best around, but some unusual flavour choices nonetheless.

I've only been here a couple of times and already, I am in love with this place! First time I came here was for dinner and drinks with my friends. We ordered a pizza and it was just amazing! Perfectly cooked and was served nice and quick. Tried one of their cocktails, which I find is cheaper than most places, and it was probably one of the best cocktails I've ever had.

Being I smoker, I like that there is a smokers section at the back of the restaurant instead of being out on the street. Second time I came, I tried the pasta and it was so delicious. Lunch special, cheap but not stingy cheap. Overall, quick and great service, amazing food, lovely location and you're not expected to pay a fortune for a food feed!

Came here with some friends for dessert after eating dinner somewhere else in Newtown. There were about 15 of us and the staff helped us move around some tables so we would all be sitting near each other. I ordered the banana split and it was incredible. Everyone else commented on the excellent quality of their desserts as well and so much for such a reasonable price!

Have also come past with friends for take away gelato, I had the Belgium Chocolate which is divine, even just one scoop in a cup is the perfect end to an evening. I make an effort to come to Newtown just to come here so I definitely recommend it!

The Pizza's are good, as are the coffee and gelati. They offer some interesting pizza's on the menu. The service was fine.

Very enjoyable. My partner and I dined in and got served at our tables so they must have changed the system since some previous reviews which stated you had to order at the counter. We sat in the outdoor section at the back which I liked, indoor seating looked good too. Service was quick. Ordered 2 pizzas and the roasted pumpkin salad, all simply delicious. The sangria was the best I've tried, very smooth to drink. Don't just come here for gelato people!

Although we have never dined in and tried the pizzas or desserts, we have had regular Gelato to take away. In my opinion it has some of the best flavoured Gelato around. The coconut, pistachio and hazelnut flavours are my standout flavours. Waffle cones are always fresh.

Recently I ordered an ice-cream cake for a birthday function, and it was a hit! I ordered 3 way layers of my favourite flavours as above, with the meringue base and writing on the top. We also ordered 6 scoops for the top. It was one of the most delicious cakes I've had, and something different to the standard flour cakes. They were also able to make it the day before, very little notice, and it wasn't a problem.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will have to dine in and try the pizzas sometime. The cake was 10/10. Every person at the party who tasted it, thought it was divine. Just be careful ordering some more of the exotic flavoured gelato like, mandarin. A little bit artificial. I advise you to test the flavours with the sampling spoons provided. Once you find some of the better flavours, they really are the best.

I have tried other Gelato places like, Gelatissimo, and although overall they are consistently average to good, they don't have the infusion of flavour that the better flavours at Ice and Slice offer. If you experiment you will find some of the best flavours at Ice and Slice which will not be rivalled anywhere.

I didn't try any dessert but the food I had was average, the pizza's are nothing special and the mushroom in sauce was average also. Prices though are quite reasonable and there was no issues with service. There is a back part to the place also. I have to try their desserts one day but otherwise the experience was average.
